  1. As I said, I've got the Speed Beez and I like it. Revolver holsters aren't rocket science. Pick which ever one you want, and I'm sure it will work for you.
  2. I bought this one, and like it. https://www.speedbeez.com/product/speed-beez-outside-waist-band-sw-627-5-inch-tactical-revolver-holster-except-v-comp-trr8-uspsa-legal-speed-rig/
  3. Nice, my friends Rich and Gray Thunder run the third Sunday USPSA match. Rich took 4th in the match I shot in. He's "the rocket"
  4. I shot my first IDPA match at the Phoenix Rod and Gun Club at South Mountain last week, and it was a blast. Any of you guys shoot there? (P.S. I didn't come in last place, was safe, and had fun)
  5. Thanks, I'm 60 years old, and shooting a DAO S&W 627 5"Performance Center pistol, with moon clips. So senior, limited, unclassified?
  6. It's more of a burger match, meaning, after the match I'm heading to the Chuck Box
  7. There's a match in Phoenix next month, that I'd like to give a try, but I'm not an ICORE member. It's at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. I emailed them, but haven't heard back.
  8. I bought a 5" 627, and love it, but the trigger sucks. I'm guessing the double action trigger pull is somewhere above 12 pounds. Is there a required amount of rounds I should wait to have a trigger job done on it? I've got about 500 thru it so far. 1000? 2000? Have it done now?

I've never really heard of a primer going off, and the powder not igniting. Unless maybe it's bad powder?
  10. Sorry, yes I'm going with a fiber optic. Yes the front sight is too wide. I want the poi to be higher, so maybe I'll go with a lower front sight.
  11. Greetings All, It took me a few minutes, but I finally got the replaceable front sight off my 627. Now that I know the procedure it's a piece of cake. I measured it and the stock front sight is: Height: .225 Width: .125 My choices at Dawson are: Height: .225 Width: .100 Or Height: .230 Width: .090 I'm going to use the gun for icore and general range time. The stock front sight is too wife. Thoughts?
  12. Damn, I wish I would have seen that first (thanks for the tip)
  13. Greetings, I'm looking for suggestions for a holster for a S&W 5" 627 PC? What are you guys using?
  14. Forgive my ignorance, but what are you guys checking?
  15. Greetings All, The "new" CA Sporting Clays Assoc web page is up and available (it's not really new, just updated). It's got links and contact information for all of the sporting clays clubs in CA. Plus there's a complete shoot schedule for all of the clubs 2005 events, including information on the 2005 state shoot If anybody has any suggestions on how to make the web page better or easier to use, drop me a line and I'll make sure the "webmaster" gets it. Here's the link www.calclays.com/ Brad G.
  16. jmallard, Thanks for running the site that keeps the scores posted. Feel free to include a link to my pictures on your web page. Thanks, Brad Glustoff TY11957 http://www.picturetrail.com/ysr_racer
  17. Review and Pictures from the Yuma Match Masters 10th Annual Charity Match. Every year the Yuma MatchMasters hold a GREAT charity match to raise money for the Antelope Union High School Booster Club, and this year was no different. This year’s match was held over 2 days on April 12th & 13th. It was 8 FUN stages with a total round count of about 200. You shoot 6 stages on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. You can even buy a mulligan to re-shoot a stage, if you want to. The stages were all well thought-out, challenging but fair. Thank G-d there were no 50 yard head shots, just lots of paper, a few no-shoots and some steel. They limit the number of shooters, so everything runs SMOOTHLY. The young men and women athletes from Antelope H.S. even tape and pickup brass. What more could you ask for? The best part is Yuma is only 3 ½ hours from Orange County, 4 if you stop in Algodones Mexico for cheap booze and cigarettes. (At least that’s what I heard) All in all, this is a GREAT match. Don’t miss it next year, I won’t. Here’s a link to some pictures I took: http://www.picturetrail.com/ysr_racer
  18. Did you see some crazy RO shoot it with a full auto Car -15? Oh wait, never mind.
  19. Did anybody shoot the AZ 400 at Ben Avery in Phx.? I stopped by the range and it looked like a GREAT match. High round count and open targets. bg
