  1. Grabagun.com has them fairly regularly(ish).
  2. From the description on the website I'm almost positive it's the exact same bag, but with updated logo design.
  3. I really like the Safariland 5197 holster (suede lining). I haven't experience any drag on the gun.
  4. Anyone running one of these? How does it compare to the other popular belts out there? Thanks.
  5. Just an update ... ordered mine on 1/14/22 and just received today.
  6. The magnet doesn't mess with the internals of the timer? That would be my only concern ...
  7. Thanks. Trying to decide between that one and the "Lite" version.
  8. Anyone have the CED Elite Series Range Bag? I don't want a backpack style bag, and this one looks solid but I'm not finding any reviews ...
  9. He seems to be monitoring another forum. I just happen to have posted there and he was quick to respond. But before that I emailed twice and went through his contact page and wasn't having any communication.
  10. I have the Safariland USPSA Kit with the 5197 holster for a single stack. Really like the holster itself, as well as the swivel movement of the hanger attachment. What I don't like is belt attachment in that it's made pretty much for the ELS belt, which I also don't like. I would like to use my DAA belt but it's too thick. Is there a belt attachment that would work with the rest of the Safariland holster and allow me to use a DAA belt? Thanks.
  11. What is the advantage of the U die when shooting revolver ... little to no crimp needed?
  12. For those shooting a 929 (or other 9mm revolver), what type of crimp are you using? If reloading on a Dillon, are you using the standard 9mm die? I normally load a FMJ bullet with a taper crimp, but I'm getting some coated lead bullets (never used before) and was just thinking if I should use a die that puts a profile crimp on it, but Dillon doesn't have an "Accu-crimp" die for 9mm. I'm probably over-thinking this ... thanks
  13. Where are you guys getting the carbon wrapped barrels?
  14. Anyone have any good loads for Steel Challenge in 38 Super? I have a bunch of 110gr (.357) XTPs, and some Titegroup and Clays on hand, but I'm willing to pick up any other supplies if it's a good load. Thanks.
  15. Thanks everyone. Think I'll just start simple and go with regular 38 Special. Any 38 Sp. loads for Steel you like that aren't concerned with power factors?
  16. That's what I was thinking (no reloads), ... but I thought the shorter case was popular due to preventing light 1st strikes from where the powder lies inside the case. Or is that totally powder dependent and not really an issue either for Steel?
  17. Are most people using 38 Short Colt (for a 38/357 gun) for Steel Challenge? I don't know much about them. From what I can tell a 38/357 die is used for de-capping/sizing, and 9mm dies for expanding, seating, and crimping (taper)? Not finding a lot of 38 Short load data out there ... do you just use 9mm data?
  18. Quote I probably won't be doing any work myself ... at this point I would probably do more harm than good, so I'll have to rely on a pro. I expected it would need some amount of work, but it seems like a solid gun. I have a line on an unmolested one still stock for a good price, so I'll probably jump on it. Now I just need to work out the "short/mid/long" 38 thing and find a good load for Steel Challenge.
  19. Thanks everyone. I'm coming from the Single Stack world and have no experience with revolvers. My 1911 needed relatively little to be competitive, but it looks like that's not the case with revolvers. I'll be shooting Steel Challenge ISO ... at least initially, so I was just trying to get a feel for what kind of an upfront investment is necessary. Sounds like I would need to send it off to TK, or someone similar, for tuning/action work and throw on some good target sights.
  20. Just wondering what things you found, if any, that had to be done to this gun ... tuning, parts, etc. Or was it good to go from the factory? Thanks.
