Go to Calguns.net and they'll help you out.

I'm still curious on the reason why you'd want to use one.

I thought that Jerry Barnhart was the last one to win a Nationals with a 45. In 1987? It was a Nastoff. I was there shooting a near identical Nastoff 45. Proving that it is the indian not the arrow.
That's true.
Robbie shot a super that year but the primers were flowing out. I don't know if he zeroed the standards or what, but he lost a ton of points and Jerry was there to gobble up the win.
The other thing that needs to be checked is the last limited nationals to be won with a .45. I suspect that was Rob but Rob and Jerry traded back and forth there for a bit. In the beggining I think both were using SS .45's. At least I know Rob was and Jerry did too at the first one.
Jack
Jack I seem to remember either the '94 or '95 Limited Nationals in Reno where Robby said the Team Springfield guys will only shoot singlestacks because it's what SA sold. He won, I think Arnt (sp?) was third and some really fast kid named Jack Barnes was 4th (I think).

Todd - It worked for me at Ft. Benning too. Especially when we had the pistol holstered and were going prone to shoot shotgun.
Thanks for the loan. Let me know when you want to get rid of it.

6" DOH for a STI. Works to hold a full size open gun too.

Box up the brass and send it to me. My Glock eats everything.
Seriously though. Look at your die setup once more and make sure you have the sizing die as low as you can. If that doesn't fix it (hopefully you're using a Dillon gauge), then I'd buy an EGW die. The Lee's apparently work, and they're cheaper, but I'd get an EGW as George supports the sport.

IMHO it's kinda pointless, but I'd still shoot it.

Dave,
I think I would just alert the store and leave it up to them to do the right thing. Do what you can control. After that, and while you said it's not part of the deal, I'd just instill at the very least a PUR filter in the house. Save up for the RO and all the filters you'll be buying.

Guess I'm puttin' the 308 in the back of the safe for a while.

Shot this today and can't say I'm a big fan. First run, I ripped the draw at an .85 and was clean, but had a jam on the last shot for a 4.79.
Second run had a "eh" 1.06 draw, dropped one and with a blistering 1.8 reload had a 5.79 and then an extra shot and extra hit.
I was tempted to reshoot it, but integrity got the better of me.

As long as it fits on the barrel, go for it. Cut it down if you find the last port or two are not doing any work.

ETA: I think it'll be fine as is.

I vote for South River or Cherokee (well...since those are the only 2 ranges that I've been to in GA other than Benning).
Thinking of taking the fiance back to the south for a long weekend and what better way than with my Georgia friends.

The finger grooves are there alright but just REALLY hard to see, It was the result of the stippling.
PB I'm not going to be able to make the match tomorrow BTW. I will definantley be at miamisburg.
Well....the finger grooves are not there enough to be legal in Production. I'm sure it will be fine in a local match but you'll still get crap from your buds. But that will never fly at a major match.
I have to unfortunately agree.

Great job Todd! I'll have to come over and you can show me how to do some of this stuff.

You could check here:
Never know what you find. That sucks though. Knock on wood, I haven't lost my wallet. I did lose my car keys while in Afghanistan (car/storage unit for back home) but oddly enough they turned up with a buddy that was at another base.
Good thoughts brotha.

IMHO, you can't have too much pre-travel. It's a non-factor on the speed at which you can pull the trigger. I frankly hate pistols that are setup with no pre-travel and being right on the sear is dangerous (again IMHO).
As for the safety...well...the pistol came that way.

Awesome Mike!!!! I'm sure the guys will get you down to Benning in December. I'm sure I'll be there RO'ing.

Yep. SFC Hampton used one at the '04 MG Nat's.

suppressor not silencer...and they are occasionally used in 3-Gun. Most effective compensator/muzzle brake out there.

Damn...my first thought was "It's about damn time!"
I'm with you. But he wouldn't be Micah (a.k.a. Master Blaster; bigdawg nickname) without it.
The pistol definitely had his flare though with that goofy comp.

Merlin,
Figured you guys would just make your own out of a piece of acrylic.

Other than not liking the stage, I'd have the slugs in hand and feed them over the top.

CZ will be my Production gun when I go back to shooting that division. Best ergonomics of any firearm IMHO.

TMC - Yep. Chris was definitely on there, but definitely Mr. Norman stole the show.
