  1. I use a touch of skateboard tape at the top of the backstrap to key my high handhold and, sometimes, a very thin line down the back of the grip to give a tactile indication of where my right hand is gripping the gun. It isn't enough to interfere with my now right hand reload. When I reloaded lefty, I used more.
  2. Welcome. Not the busiest forum in the world, but, maybe the nicest and highest quality. I monitor it almost everyday.

  4. As I have still not received my issue of Front Sight , was the issue of the Ed Brown cylinder latch, which many off hand reloaders use, addressed? An external modification?
  5. OK. It's January 8th. Where the hell is my Frontsight?
  6. Decisions. Decisions. I like the fact revolver shooters are getting some options. Major, open revolver or production, or........revolver?
  7. I guess it is only for the cognescenti to know. I haven't got my Front Sight yet. I promise to spill the beans when I do (maybe that's why I haven't gotten it).
  8. When do we find out what the final USPSA rules on 8 shot revolver in Production are. For that matter, when do we find out about the Springfield XD?
  9. Thanks for the ideas. Bubber, i is too uglee to look good at the eyerc. Defines practice. Is that like putting on me gun and lookings in da mirror?
  10. I have two Smith 8 shots with the ball detent cylinder release. Both are more difficult to open and close than my old 625 with the traditional hook up. Is there any way to improve my ball detent 8 shot's cylinder release and closing?
  11. I use the Bubber method. I shoot until the gun is empty then I yell "Bubber, what do I do now?"
  12. TMC: What is your OAL? Do you have a 130 grain load and OAL? Thanks

They initially posted a 6/18 date, but that has been taken off. I'll watch, Bubber. You got to make sure Dadoo goes. The suspense of whether he'll end up nekkid or not is what makes the match. Phara: buy that gun or you can share mine.
  14. Thanks. Any opinion on the dot? Clarity, brightness? What type of batteries does it use? Is their a protective cover available?
  15. Anybody have any feedback on the JPoint micro-electronic Reflex sight? Any opinion on dot size (4 or 8) for shots out to 50 yards?

I made my motel reservations for the IRC last night. Anybody else going? Bubber? If they will have me again, I will be shooting with the AZ Wildbunch. Hope to see you there.
  17. I'm a strolling shooter, too. Only it's not by choice
  18. You want to use a round nose for your reloads
  19. Tom: In my opinion USPSA has no interest in growing revolver division. They only view it as a feeder device. The paradigm is that a revolver shooter will show up at a match, love the concept, see the revolver is not competitive, and "graduate" to a more acceptable USPSA tool by trundling off to a (preferably USPSA shooter/administrator) gunsmith and drop a couple of grand. They could design revolver neutral stages, but, then the fragile egos of those getting beaten by wheelies would be bruised and expensive auto pistol sales might drop. Sorry if this seems overly cynical.
  20. I shoot major and go for all A's. It just never works out that way. Seriously, major is the only way to go if you want to be competitive. If you want to tilt at windmills, try open minor sometime, right Bubber?
  21. I was bringing out my old limited gear and when I put my P14 in my Bianchi Hemisphere Limited (the cheap one) holster and raised the locking lever on the rear of the holster, the pistol would not lock. Being mechanically challenged, I could not discern why or what, if anything, was missing from the locking device. Can anyone describe the locking device (how it hooks the gun) in monosyllables, to me so that I can understand what is going on? Thank you
  22. I live in the Seattle area so I know the sun doesn't have to so shine
  23. I am thinking of using a cmore railway on a Weaver rail on a SW revolver. Is there any product out there that can be installed on the rail to block the blast from porting holes near the scope? Thank you for your suggestions
  24. I don't want to shoot it now because I'd have to shoot against somebody that shot 1720 without a shroud and cleaned the plates in his first match :r
