    WTF?

The explanation I was given from K. Ballard (email forwarded to ICORE members on request) was that they found out at the Shot Show thru a S&W rep that there was a conflicting S&W match on that date. That is astounding to me because of the history of the IRC. That being the case, I would really like to know what match that is. I would like to shoot it, if possible, as I already have the time off.

    WTF?

Was it ever ascertained what Smith event was in conflict with the original date? K Ballard has never responded on that.

    WTF?

It looks like I'm blown out, then. Bubber, will ya send me pitchers? Look for my next thread "What I WON'T miss about the IRC"

    WTF?

I feel your pain Mr. Rodriquez, having done the same when the date was first announced. I am required to select my vacation times well in advance and another person had to do the same to join me on the trip. I made other reservations and plans base on the date. Now, we are both hung out. C'est le vie

    WTF?

The people running the match have their email posted on the ICORE site. I'm a little uncomfortable posting it here. I don't know why.

    WTF?

Hope things work out for you TM. They are trying to move the date to the previous weekend because of a conflict with another Smith-Wesson sponsored match. There are some local problems with that date as well, so, they don't know what they are doing with it as yet. Screws me, but, I will still do what I can to shoot it.

    WTF?

You can always take separate vacations or get a new wife. Ever try to change your vacation when you work for da govamint???????

    WTF?

I was just looking at the ICORE website. The dates for the match are now missing ("TBA"). Does anyone know what is happening with the date for the IRC????
  9. I'm practisn spasmodically. That has nothing to do with times tween practices. It's how I shoots. Hope yer well
  10. A major reason I like shooting revolver, beside the satisfaction derived therefrom, is that I can pick up any other handgun and shoot reasonably with it if I have kept up on my revolver shooting. When I shot primarily 1911, the extra work on the trigger of even a Glock, much less a double action piece, gave me trouble. I had the pleasure yesterday of breaking out old flatsides and keeping everything A zone on the IPSC target out to 25 yards. The 1911 lost out to my new (to me) 25-2 today. Shooting double action revolver is a confidence builder for me.
  11. Jokes on me again. Two weeks ago I joined IDPA to shoot a 625 I got just for that purpose. This is almost as good as allowing 8 shot revolvers in production and then raising the shots per position to 9. Do the folks in charge just like ****ing with revolver shooters, or what? It can't be revolver folk making these decisions. Do we pay these people?
  12. I shoot revolver because I don't like bending over that much.......to pick up my brass
  13. I agree with speedstick. What revolver reloading info did I miss in the reloading section? It would be better if you moved it over here.
  14. Happy New Year Bubba and Speedstick! I totally agree. Why lose revolver information in the morass of .38 super/9mm bottom feeder info? It makes little practical sense. This only detracts from the best revolver information forum on the net.
  15. Well above. Uspsa power factor is 165. Factory hardball is usually rated at about 800 fps , but, you usually get somewhat less. You only need slightly over 700 fps w/230 grainers.
  16. Bubber, I'm just starting to mess with the long colt. Just funnin around. Hope to see you soon as long as your not cheatin', I mean practisin'
  17. This strongly suggests you are practicin'. I knowed better, but now I'm spicious
  18. Yo! Speedstick. Hope things are well. Idle hands and minds are the devils tools. You are too busy and I'm thinking about .38 long colt. I'm unsure of the IRC myself this year, but, I hope to see you and Bubber sometime.
  19. Thanks for the help. Keep the info coming, please
  20. Bubber. Thanks for the help. I'm just too cheap to buy a .38 super like the big kids. IRC June 17-19. Are you going? Do you think our leader will be there? And here husband? I see a possible conflict with the administration
  21. Can anyone give me a starting point for an approximately 125pf load in .38 long colt using a jacketed 158 grain Berry roundnose bullet and pushing it thru a ported 5 inch barrel? What is the OAL for .38 long colt? Is there a superior bullet weight? Thank you.
  22. I'd recommend a Blade-tech kydex holster for both, to start. If you decide you really like USPSA, I would consider a CR Speed or other abbreviated race holster in the future. But, a straight drop kydex holster will get you by.
  23. The 5" is definitely not legal in IDPA. The 625 is definitely the way to go.
