  1. I was cleaning my .40 Elite Match and noticed two small cracks that mirror each other on both sides of the gun. Crack is right behind the magazine release. Is this really a crack or just a casting mark?
  2. "5.6 Certain firearm supporting devices may be prohibited by the Match Director. 5.6.1 Supporting devices that risk excess damage to props or pose a risk to shooters are prohibited. (i.e. the Hedgehog and like products are not allowed)" What is a hedgehog like device? Also, can we use a light attached to our pistol for the cave stage and if so, can we remove it/ change holster after that stage?
  3. You could probably try just cutting a coil or two. I didnt like the weaker trigger return spring so I went back to the stock one. I'd strongly suggest the ram.
  4. Was it a drop in barrel?
  5. Thats Carlos, right? Ive felt a trigger that he is done and it is impressive. I would suggest him over the apex kit for two reasons, over travel and pre-travel, the apex kit will lighten the pull but you will still have excess pre-travel and over-travel.
  6. was it a drop in or did it require fitting?
  7. I ended up getting it working by filing on the safety, it had a nice high spot in it that caused it to bind up. Thanks
  8. Im running into an issue fitting a JP fire control group. Ive got it all installed, adjusted and it works fine with the safety out of the gun. when i install the safety, the hammer wont fall and the trigger hardly moves. Ive taken about 4 thousandths off the back of the trigger were it contacts the safety and still no luck. The lower is a Tac Innovations. Has anyone else had this problem?
  9. I would strongly suggest it. Ive tried the gun with and without the ram, the ram is a must. I have the full action apex kit on the gun and kept the stock trigger return spring.
  10. I have put roughly 1000 rounds through mine with a mix of Precision Delta, a lot of Georgia Arms, a lot of Atlanta Arms and some Federal Wal-Mart special without a problem.
  11. Has anyone tried to take some weight out of the slide by milling a coffin cut into the top of the slide (G34/35 style)?
  12. thats not it, i can see the machine kick out the old primers before it gets to that station
  13. Just started reloading on a dillon 1050 and ran into this problem. The primers appear to be pushed too deep. This only happened on a few rounds. Any ideas?
  14. If your interested, I may have one hiding somewhere
  15. I have a Redhead hard case, it looks like a pelican case with the red head duck logo on it, i think i paid $160 for it, holds 4 guns and the airlines havent broken it yet
  16. They look great! Have you tried them out yet? If your interested in selling them, im sure youd have some people interested
  17. The gun is running great, it survived the Pan-am and havent had any problems with it. I didnt change any springs, just milled the bolt. The logo was laser etched by a friend
  18. Id start by switching to a 15lb hammer spring and polishing the trigger bar. You may also want to cut a coil off the plunger. That should lighten it up. Also, the trigger on my stock 2 was terrible until i adjusted the overtravel. Try playing with that.
  19. Hennings pads dont work on the old mags, the followers different and so is the spring.
