  1. Any of the surefire plugs. Foam plugs make my ear holes itchy. Also, I have long hair and have always foind muffs flop themselves loose because of it.
  2. Ok, after a bit of a hiatus I'm coming back. I've always been that guy with the handme-down gear on his belt. Say for instance an Uncle Mikes double mag pouch behind 3 Chinese airsoft versa pouch knock offs someone gave me and a beat to death blade tech holster missing the correct hardware that came off a garage sale table at the range all hanging on an old cr speed belt that really doesn't have enough overlap and let's not discuss the condition of the velcro in some places. I bounce between SS and Prod and kind of like the idea of having one belt. In doing this, the Safariland ELS system looks really attractive. (Everything's in the same place) As for mag pouches, I have searched around on here and can't narrow anything down. 771 or 773 are what I'm leaning toward. Further more I would like to get a hanger such as the BOSS or USPSA kit. So there you go. Please point me in the right direction. Oh, and I'm a bit fluffy around my midsection so I need to get the mags away from my body. Sorry this is long-winded. Any and all suggestions arw appreciated.
  3. This. I run their basepads on ETM mags with the Dawson magwell. The same basepads are nice also when using a S&A magwell too. Main thing is, find mags that work reliably in your gun, and go from there.
  4. A friend of mine on here bought a used 9L and the seller failed to disclose that the gun never dropped mags, He sent the gun back to S&W and they took care of it.
  5. Also interested if they will fit the Kimber cut. May have to email Tripp
  6. Are the 771's a universal pouch like the cr speeds?
  7. I’m interested in some new single stack mag pouches. I have been looking at the CR Speed pouches, safari land 771’s and 773’s, blade tech Bobby McGee’s as well as the 2 Alpha’s. I want the mags to be a little away from my body. The blade tech’s I currently have were to close, so I made some spacers but they just don’t do it for me anymore. What are your thoughts? I am also open to suggestions that I did not list. Thanks guys.
  8. That is the set up I use. It is wonderful AFTER YOU PURCHASE THE BASEPADS FOR THE ICE MAGWELL. Without them positively seatinG the mags is an issue. (I assume we are talking about the ICE Magwell)
  9. Myself and some of the other SS guys that shoot .45 are running the ETM's with great success in a variety of guns. I don't have any experience with the 47D mags. Wilsons customer service is hard to beat also. A lot of guys around here also swear by tripp mags. Maybe lurk around with the search option.
  10. I have political science and an awful jurisprudence exam holding me back from shooting, dryfire, and getting my deer hunt started on time. Boooooooo
  11. Can't go wrong with Lazza or VZ. Have both. Larry is a great guy to deal with and gets back with answers to your questions quickly.
  12. I’m just trying to figure out if it is really worth the extra $$$$ to me. My old DI guns never let me down (although I hate cleaning them). I also really like the features the LWRC guns come with. Life really is full of hard decisions…
  13. I think the value of the Spartan is hard to ignore. It gets my vote.
  14. I have been toying with the idea of getting a LWRC M6 rifle and was wandering if anyone here has one and if they use it in multigun. I only get the opportunity to shoot multigun stuff 2 or 3 times a year so I don't need a full on competition gun. Just want a tacticool rifle with a 1.5-5 scope that I can have fun with.
  15. I really like that idea DocMedic. Has anyone done this or seen a milled m&p slide with a bomar rear?
  16. heat gun on low worket for me
  17. I have pretty much decided that my woes with this mag-well came from my technique. I have been focusing on mag-changes during practice with the help of a more experienced shooter as well as doing Burkett reload drills at home. I just shot a match today no problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One bad habbit is well on its way to being broken.
  18. I changed to BBI 230gr from Lead 200gr swc and have never regretted it. Reasonably clean even with titegroup. I feel that my front sight comes back on to target with the push of the 230's faster than it does with the snap of the lighter bullet.
  19. Well I have had the Dawson ICE for Single Stack since they came out. I was having problems seating my ETM mags, so I got the Dawson base pads. Still at least once a match I fail to seat the mags all of the way. I never had this problem with my S&A. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks. (I needed to vent).

Reading this just made my day. I just laughed out loud in class and now look like an idiot.
  21. The search feature is your friend for this topic. The consensus seems to be tripp.
