  1. Well, I'm not a huge 3gun shooter. So I think I'll just leave the shotgun the way it is and do the best I can with the quad loader. Thanks for all the advice guys.
  2. Do most people modify there shotgun for quad loaders? I've heard that some people dremmel the opening of the loading port. I just bought a quad loader and was wondering if it would make it easyer. I shoot a Remington 11-87.
  3. I can't count how many times I've gone to a local match, no matter if its IDPA, USPSA,or a 3 gun match were the steel is never calibated corretly and I shoot the steel and the RO says oh you should've shot it again. I always shoot 40 cal with a power factor in the 140's.
  4. When it comes right down to it, isn't just a game? When I played golf I bought the best set of golf clubs I could afford. I still had fun. My open Glock is what I can afford and I have a great time. I guess if you want to be Rob Leathem your going to need a $4000 STI. I'm never going to be Rob Leathem. My two cents, Craig
  5. I shoot a 124gr MG with 8.3grs Hs6 for major and a 147gr Black bullet with 4.8gr Longshot for minor.
  6. What powder are you using? I've shot 9major with 135s, it's a soft, slow flip. Hs6 for major. Longshot for minor.
  7. Let me first say I know I'm not suppose to use moly coated bullets or a 147gr bullet. However, I don't care if my comp gets all filled up with lead and theres smoke every where. I just want to know if its possible to use a 147gr moly coated bullet to make major and not blow up my gun. I love my minor load through my open Glock with a 147gr bullet which makes about 150 power factor. I just need to up my powder charge a little to make major. My thought is it takes less power to make major with a coated bullet because they slide easyer. Is there anyone out there that has tried this?
  8. Looks great. I think I'll go with that one. Thanks for the help.
  9. Any suggestions on a compensator for a Ruger 22/45 lite open steel gun? I've looked at Volquartson and Tactical solutions but they really don' t do it for me.
  10. Yep, that looks like the one. Thanks
  11. Anybody know what optic Esuebio was running on his open Glock at Area 5? It wasn't a C-more.
  12. I use a 15 lbs spring. For major I shoot a 124gr MG with 8.3 grs HS6 and for minor I shoot a 147gr BB with 4.8grs Longshot. I use a 15 lbs spring for both. No feeding or ejection problems.
  13. I've been playing around with 147gr Black bullets with Longshot to make major. I love my minor load of 4.8grs of Longshot. It's soft and very accuate. I have load up to 5.3grs of Longshot which chronos 163. I'm a little gun shy to go higher. I was wondering if anybody else has tried to make major with a coated bullet? I know I shouldn't try with a jacketed bullet. However, coated bullets have higher velocites than jacketed. Anybody try this?
  14. The biggest problem I see is that you will have to sight your gun in every time you change from minor to major and vs versa.
  15. My minor load is a BBI 147gr with 4.8grs Longshot. Its very soft and very accurate.
  16. So does anybody have any load data on 147gr 9mm coated bullets? Im a little hesitant to try them for major.
  17. My bad. Your right, oal is 1.17.
  18. I use 8.3grs of HS-6 with a 124gr montana gold bullet. OAL is 1.70 It gives me about a 170 PF. I shoot a Glock 17. It has a Lone wolf barrel.
  19. Single action trigger vs double action trigger, I would understand if there was a rule for on or the other in the division. In my humble opinion there is an advantage with a single action trigger. However, there is no restrictions between the two. 40 vs 45 with a power factor for both at 165, I see no competative advantage one way or the other.
  20. Well, the only explaination that I have heard so far that makes any sence is that 40 cal is not allowed in CDP is because 40 would take over and make the 45 obsolete. I see no other reason.
  21. Oh. I thought there might be a practical reason. There just afraid that nobody will shoot 1911's in a 45?
  22. I can easly make power factor of 165 with my 40 S&W. What is the reason only 45acp can be used?
