  1. I need to send in my Glock 35 frame to be repaired. I put my Glock 17 frame on my Glock 35 slide until my Glock 35 frame is repaired. My question is is this legal if I go to a major match or will they tell me I can't compete? I know I could shoot my Glock 17, but I have a lot of 40 bullets and magazines. Craig
  2. I bought it used so I don't know the exact round count, but I have put about 12,000 rounds through it.
  3. When I was cleaning my gun a couple of days ago I noticed that one of the metal tabs on the frame of the gun came off. It's a part that holds the slide to the frame. In the picture that I up loaded (hopefully) you can see it in the left upper corner. My question is should I be worried? I shot it yesterday and it worked fine. Is there some way to fix it? Any help would be great. Craig
  4. There's only two things that fall from the sky. Bird shit and fools.
  5. There are two ranges within 20 minutes and one about 45 minutes away.
  6. Shot today. It was beautiful out. 40 degrees! I did some drawing and shooting both paper and steel. I hope I'm improving. Its hard to tell. Can't what for the first match of the year.
  7. I do not agree. What I have research is that most of the time it's a double charge. It's always a reload. Never a factory ammo.
  8. How long have you been shooting?
  9. I reload my own that's what I'm worried about.
  10. That's just it though. I have the money for a backup gun and just enough ammo to get me through the summer. But I could use the money for a lot more ammo.
  11. I've never had a problem. I just keep hearing about guns going boom. There are two post on this thread alone.
  12. I'm trying to decide if I shouldbuy a backup gun or should I dump my money into ammo? I'm afraid my gun will blowup and I won't have anything to shoot. However, I'm not going to get any better if I don't shoot a lot. Should I take the chance that my gun willbe fine or should I buy a new gun? What would you guys do?
  13. Colt single action 45-all the westerns (john wayne, clint eastwood)
  14. Well, I got last weeks results back. 4th out of 11 in production division and 8th out of 24 overall. Not a great showing. I know I can do better. I am going to set some goals for the winter. First, I'm going to lose 20 pounds and second, I'm going to increase my dry fire from 15 minutes a day to 30 minutes a day. I will also try and shoot during the winter as long as the weather permits.
  15. Shot a match today. Five stages. I don't feel like I shot very well. Although, I only screwed up my first stage. I got a no-shoot, and a miss. It was my stage. I felt like I was shooting very slow. It was fun though. Beautiful day. Maybe the last match I do this year. Well see what the weather is like and if I go stir crazy not being able to shoot.
  16. Shot the texas star today. Best time 4.63. Average time was 5 seconds. Best bill drill was 2.22. Production gun (g35) Star at 15 yards. Bill drill 7 yards.

    TEXAS STAR

Shot the Texas Star today. My best run was 4.63 seconds. Production gun at 15 yards. Hands at sides. My average was about 5 seconds. I'm a B class shooter.
  18. Well, I got third place in Milan. I wanted to win. Maybe next year. My worst stage was called OK Corral. I got 11th place. It was a huge mud puddle. I could hardly walk. In fact, one guy fell and covered himself with mud. It wasn't a hard course of fire I just had a hard time standing. I might have done better if I would of shot it on Saturday instead of Sunday. I would of been dryer and I might of been able to move faster. My best stage was called Watch your step. I won that one. All in all, it was a good match.
  19. Went to the Milan fall classsic today and I had a lot of fun. I shot well. I only had one mike on the tenth stage. Although, the first stage with the big texas star was very hard. I tried to cut my losses and just shoot what I could. I think overall I did well and I had a lot of fun.
  20. Just as I thought, I came in fifth place overall. The only stage I did well in was the last stage which I won. I think it shows I can do it if I focus more. The other stages I had either a fte or some mikes. I'll need to focus more to do well at Milan.
