  1. Check your schedule? THIS should be the ONLY thing on your schedule for this for May 2010, how could you pass up a chance to shoot a match with THE MR. WALSH? You now have a house in NC to stay in (sorry, but I promised the spare bedroom to Mr. Walsh) when Cliff beats you, could I at least win back my shed from you Craig?
  2. Great, thanks my friend, there will be a retro division, I think Dean will shoot retro and it looks like Craig might come and get beat by you in retro as well, lets see how Mr. IDPA does when he is not shooting 1,1,2,1,1 reload from cover and then 2,2,2 in that exact order !!!!
  3. Best of luck to you with ICORE, invite your local USPSA and IDPA shooters
  4. Guess this is where to post, if you own a rifle (if not, someone will loan you one), love America (if not, please leave), want to learn about OUR History (if you went to public school, not your fault that you were not taught all the info) want to REALLY learn how to shoot a rifle (who doesn't?) want to spend a day or 2 with great people and meet great fellow Americans, then please try to attend the local Appleseed shoot in your area. There should be more than 1 location in each state of our great Country. The April Appleseed is the big one, as it is the Anniversary of what started the whole thing, please try to attend and bring a friend, I think Ladies and juniors still get to shoot free, as do our members of the Armed Forces, God Bless Them All
  5. After watching a video by Saul Kirsch, he reccommended that you walk it in your mind, look at the stage and imagine each shot, then close your eyes and picture each shot and how you will shoot it, this trick seems to be working for me so far. Still have the occasional brain fart, but that may be due to my ever increasing chronological status, or the fact that I'm one of those revo shooters, best of luck figuring it out
  6. Joe, Try to get someone new from the IDPA crowd to join you on Sat. I'll bring an extra revo and gear if they don't have enough stuff. Dean gives us a great match every month, lets give him a great turnout !!!
  7. Hey Cliff, Jr. said he would be honored to use the Champs 625 and shoot the ICORE match with us and said thanks alot ( he actually said , "fine, I'll shoot revo with you old guys if it will make me happy) what a great kid I have !! I'll have plenty of moon clips loaded up ready to go.
  8. Lets try for a big turnout this month, bring a friend to the match, I'll bring an extra setup if anyone needs it
  9. Hopefully we got some new shots of our hero at SC Section match next month to add to these, bring cameras !!!!!
  10. I'll be there Joe, this time I'm going to leave the trigger finger in 2nd gear and look at the front sight, not as much fun, but my scores seem to be better
  11. Sorry 'bout that, it won't happen again
  12. +1 Very well said, YOU are the reason most of us love to shoot
  13. Loads of great things said, bottom line is to get new shooters out, any of the games, make them feel welcome, encourage them, and share in their excitement as they get better and skills improve. Then maybe they will get another new shooter out with them, and all the games can grow
  14. Thanks Heckler, I see you are in SC, you shootin the SC Section USPSA match next month?
  15. Oh yeah, almost forgot, they get to round dump at IDPA matches as well !!!!
  16. Hey Tom, All the other shooters make fun of us roundgunners, but we are the best group of folks you will ever meet, and all the bottom feeder shooters are great people too, they just have the chance to miss and make up shots
  17. Welcome to the sport, I've been reloading for over 20 years and is the only way I can afford to keep myself, son, and girlfriend shooting. I also cast my own lead bullets for practice and local matches, which has my cost on 9MM/.40 S$W and .45 ACP below what .22 rimfire costs. Keep in mind, that does not include my time, and I have the brass and raw lead, but it is a labor of love and adds to the sport, for me anyway, I know some of you think I'm nuts, but live and let reload/cast
  18. Rather be Hunting, we will have a full line of autographed "Cliff Walsh" attire and souveniers available at the match, as President Of the CLIFF WALSH fan club, NC division, I will be in charge of sales, 10% of all proceeds goes to National Cliff Walsh Headquarters, 20% stays with the State chapter, and the balance goes directly to Cliff's favorite charity, the "Keep the Kids from drinking" fund, which Cliff himself heads up, by drinking as much of the Coor's Light as he can, the kids won't get any, what a nobel man and inspiration he is to us all
  19. Just got a Glock 21, and bought a Lone Wolf barrel for it to shoot lead bullets with. My bullets are cast by me and all rounds are run in a chamber guage and are always fine (use them in my 625, 1911's and my son's XD45) never a problem. Last 2 matches I've tried them, problems with slide going all the way home. RO at the match today said maybe chamber too tight. Got home and miked it, and it is .003" tighter than the factory barrel. Anyone else have a similar problem? I was thinking of having my gunsmith ream it some or should I send it back to Lone Wolf? Any input would be appreciated, thanks
  20. Hey Oh Great One, Jr. may shoot the ICORE match if he can borrow a Champs 625, bet I can talk him into it
  21. Just got word that the current National Revolver Champ, my hero, will be shooting this match !!! If you have not yet signed up for this match, now is the time !!! You have a chance to see some amazing shooting with a revolver AND you get to shoot a GREAT match all at the same time, sign up and let's have a HUGE turnout. If you don't yet have enough stuff to shoot a revo match, let me or someone else know and we will come up with the stuff for you to use.
  22. I tend to hold like Jerry does, thumb over thumb, I just hold the grip longer, he's unloading and showing clear while I'm still shootin' the stage !!! Also prefer the Miculek grips, as I find hand placement on the draw is not as critical as with finger grove grips
  23. Craig, I'd love to come up and shoot your match, but right now we have very little work and must save up gas money for the trip to USPSA Nationals in Vegas in the fall, my son earned a spot in Limited !!! I'll go on the waiting list when it opens. Thanks for letting me stay in the house, need your address to send the rent check!! Have a good day, John
