  1. Just got an e-mail about a new Glock match, and thought I would pass it along to all in NC and Va, and everyone else. Go to Caswell Ranch website for details
  2. I don't need no stinking rule book,,,, the guys that hold up the fingers keep up with the rules for me,,, unless I break them fast enough that they miss it !!!
  3. Oh yeah we'll be at Dean's on Sunday, Sunday is procedural day !!!!!
  4. By the way Tom, you really did not win, you only had more "A"'s than me,,, I had way more "B", "C" and "M"' s than you, it's all in how you read the results my friend !!!
  5. Enjoy your victory Tom, you earned it. Next month I just might get my head out of my ,,,, and try to use the little bumpy thing on the end of the barrel and see what happens, unless of course Dean sets up a few Johnny hoser stages and suckers me in. You all owe Dean some gratitude, as he is kind enough to let you see how NOT to shoot a stage by giving me the opportunity to make a fool of myself in new and exciting ways each and every month. And yes, I am the reason for the shortage of "MIKE" pasters that we now have in the ICORE community.
  6. I always shoot revolver (S&W 625) and just got a Glock 21 at an ICORE match of all places Saturday night, and shot it for the first time yesterday at our monthly "fun match" (USPSA style with IDPA scoring) and found everything way different, but in a good way. I'll shoot both and just need a little more trigger time with the Glock to get off the first shot quicker. Shoot whatever you got and have fun
  7. Enjoyed shooting with you yesterday, Tom,, hope to see you at the next match, easy looking stages that can be VERY challenging,,,, just wait to see what Dean will come up with for the State match
  8. Sorry wish I could, a little too much gas to get there, shooting the fun match at THE RANGE tomorrow in Oxford. Good luck tomorrow at your match
  9. Great match today, as always, Dean, thanks to you and Bev for all your hard work, we do appreciate you both. Now for the bad news, John Z sr now has a GLOCK, that's right, GLOCK 21. At least it's a .45. It must have come bad from the factory, 'cause the moonclips won't fit in the bottom
  10. Thanks everyone, appreciate the help, now she needs therapy,,, her boyfriend actually knows him
  11. Does anyone have the link to the video of our hero Otis in the hot tub stage last year? My girlfriend has not yet seen it and I can't find it, thanks. All hail Otis, KING OF THE REVOS
  12. Tomorrow's ICORE match at Caswell Ranch is a great way to practice revolver for USPSA
  13. Love this match !!!! Only time of the year to shoot on a REVO squad, oh boy oh boy, can't wait
  14. You will have FUN Joe, no cover, no concealment, reload when and where you want to, shoot 'em fast or slow, and procedurals are REAL hard to get, not like in that other pistol, game, and oh yeah, no stupid fake dummies to place behind interpretive cover (sorry, had to get that off my chest). Dean, we will have another new ICORE shooter joining us on Saturday, someday we WILL have 2 squads
  15. Much has already been said, but above all WELCOME to the lonely world of revo shooting. I shoot revo in USPSA and get my procedurals with a revo in IDPA and love ICORE. Problem with shooting revo in USPSA is the very small turnout at most matches. That being said, I still find revo to be the most fun and the best challenge. Welcome aboard !!!
  16. The weather should be good this Saturady, lets try and have a GREAT turnout for the ICORE match at Caswell Ranch, if someone wants to give it a try and does not have enough stuff, please ask, I'll share all that I have
  17. I love meeting someone else with OCD. I have discovered that different brands of brass will give me different velocities the same as different brands of brass will fit in moon clips differently. To satisfy my OCD loads are developed in one lot of Starline brass and rechecked in a match lot of Starline. All cases are deprimed with a Lee 'U' die in a RCBS Rockchucker press. Primer pockets are cleaned and reprimed with Federal primers seated using a RCBS hand primer seating ~ .003 - .005 below flush. Powder measure tube has been spun in a drill and polished with 4 ought steel wool. Flare was adjusted so a moly bullet will fit inside the case mouth without shaving. Seated in a Redding Competition die and the flare removed in a Lee FCD, crimp .472 - .471. All cartridges checked in a Lyman case guage. Ranch Products SS moon clips filled using a M**nsetter hand tool. Knock on wood emoticon So far I have not had an ammo related problem. Broke an extended firing pin once. Looks like you and I have WAY too much time on our hands, glad that I have a bunch reloaded, as I hear from the white house/senate/congress (intentionally not capitalized) the economy is BACK so my dead contracting business should be back to where it was during those awful 8 years that I was actually working and earning a decent living (sorry, had to vent)
  18. I am by no means any kind of gunsmith, and one of the best in the business has given you some advice already, so all I might add, is I do clean ALL my primer pockets and use hand seated Federal primers, and have had 100% perfect ignition for over 8,000 rounds and counting. Good luck to you
  19. I have many that fit the bill, but the ONE, is the S&W 625 JM version my son gave me for father's day 2 years ago. Great kid turned into a fine man.
  20. Welcome to the forum, just name your poison, USPSA, ICORE, IDPA, STEEL we have it all in NC
  21. Thank you for setting Josh straight Mr. Carmony, as to our maturity levels in Revo division. Looks like the kid thinks he can beat our leader Otis in SC,,, oh to be young and full of dreams again, must be nice to be young and naive. look forward to shooting with you Josh, when all us old guys can mess up your head !!!!
  22. Try to stay away from the slower powders, I found that I was getting some unburned powder and got the cylinders dirty real quick, good luck
