  1. I knew this was going to happen when all those flags got put on cars in September... here we are in December, and I saw 5  flags with shredded ends flying from antennas in the mile it took me to go to work this morning.

While I find these people's suddenly newfound patriotism admirable, I really really really wish they had bothered to LEARN about the proper way to care for and treat our Country's Flag.

(I'm really glad BE has this place for me to vent this stuff, thanks Brian!)

  2. Hi Pat,

I use Jeff Maas' powerpoint setup - you can get it on his webpage where he stores the stage designs.  I'll send you what I have when I get home tonight!

  3. Hi Ron,

My opinion is:  shoot in Limited with your S_I - shoot at your current ability ALWAYS and quit worrying about winning, or being fair, or how to play the game!

The only real competition in this sport is yourself - if you're on and you win, GREAT, if you're on and you don't win, GREAT - the point being YOU :-)

On a side not - you REALLY should turn in some L10 classifiers that reflect your current ability.

  4. Yeah Erik, my comp and my hair - you missed the carpet shredding :-)  NOTE TO SELF:  Stand away from barricades and ports with top covers while shooting a flame thrower!!!!!!  And I DID shoot a clean match too!

Nik - i had an awesome time!  I LOVE this sport and was having serious withdrawals.  There's just SO much fun about what we do and the people we hang out with!

I am healthy again, thank you!

  5. Hmmm - this may be pushing the line, but damn :-)  And he pointed it out, i never woulda thunk it by myself!  Thankfully, Erik was able to pull the rest of the stages together (mostly) and he ended up 2nd in the match - a FEW competitors ahead of me (okay ALOT ahead of me!)

I also accomplished the goals I set for myself for the day (this is the real post now .  After taking a few months off, my goals were simple 1) FIND all the targets and 2) HIT all the targets.  I did that so so okay - my form and technique were way off - found myself doing stupid things - leaning back instead of forward, not bending my knees - you know, that kind of stuff :-)  It's amazing how much by brain retained naturally, and how much is obviously stuff I have to THINK about!

  6. I've told y'all about a gazillion times, I'm NOT technical :-)

But I believe, as Brian does, that he does have them made by someone.  I KNOW they are a "heavier" diameter than what Wolff sells to the public.

But MOST importantly, I KNOW they work!  I went through "mag hell" for a year, finally sent them to Grams and I haven't had problems since.

  7. Our very own Travis T was selected to represent the US at the World Shoot next year!!!

I don't know about you guys, but I find this really exciting :-)

So Travis, tell us how you feel!

EDIT:  Travis' name is no longer on the list... wtf????

  8. Our USPSA Board of Directors asked for and received approval to use our own rulebook.  You can browse the minutes of the meetings leading up to the General Assembly in Quincy last year to try to discern the reasoning.  It's long and convuluted!
