  1. If you get a pair of these you can adapt the the 4x4 with tec lok and remove them very easily when you know you're going to go prone. http://www.ebay.com/...=item5896c11556 I already had things / belt setup for tec lok, if starting new I'd go ELS belt and work up from there. Live and learn! Here's the caddy already fitted with ELS. http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/297406/ap-customs-4x4-shotshell-shell-carrier-with-safariland-els-attachment-aluminum-black
  2. Great stages, lots of fun to shoot. I look forward to seeing any video that was taken. A special thanks to squad two's RO's: Joe and his son Devin, for getting us through this match. It was a LONG day but well worth it. Steve

  4. Eight months after I've installed the screw and it still works great. (It should, it's a factory release with a small screw installed)
  5. Here's a possibility, and it may not be the problem at all but here goes. When re-assembling, the seal ring fits perfectly in the gas piston when it's installed backward. I don't know if that's causing your problem but it's worth looking at. Line 2, page 17 clearly states "angled surface must face out" http://www.mossbergs.com/manuals/930_935.pdf Steve
  6. Mossberg came thru with TWO pins and TWO clips at no charge. It's great to have spare parts. Thank you Mossberg! Steve
  7. Thanks for sharing the video but what exactly is "Dropping Dueces Loading Method"? I search here and You-Tube but couldn't find anything helpful. Thanks again, Steve
  8. Are you using the AA or the AA Low recoil loads? Does yours run the Winchester 100 round, bulk pack "universal" rounds from Wally world OK? Bulk pack is cheaper than any of the AA loads around here, so that's what I prefer to shoot. You may just have to break it in a little more.
  9. You'll just need to show up on the 10th to find out Oh, I plan to be there. I'll be the guy lobbing my PCC carbine 9mm rounds in like mortar fire for the 200 yard shots. What a hoot, this'll be fun. FYI, I plan to win the AR15 at the raffle so I can shoot a "Big Boy" gun at the next 3-gun match.
  10. I'm still trying to figure out where the longer rifle stages will be be. I can NOT find a rifle range on the Google map. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=101695290727397104311.00045e6974518c3efe97a&ll=38.196775,-89.730148&spn=0.067184,0.109863&t=h&z=13
  11. All three, less recoil, less flip and better accuracy. I was in denial for years thinking .75" couldn't make that much difference. I WAS WRONG!
  12. Nice going Jeremy! Here's a picture I pulled from the net, of course it doesn't have the AP Customs c/f gaurd yet.
  13. Everything will be under 200 yds for this one, but there will be some "challenging" shots "Challenging" sounds like fun. Do you think we can make use of the Gator and flat bed trailer to move peole and gear to the other two stages?
  14. Thanks, I dug deep down in the corners of my tool box drawers and finally found a few that might work. I did gat ahold of someone. (IIRC, Erica,) at Mossberg late this afternoon and she said she'd send one out ASAP. (7 to 10 days) No charge!
  15. Thanks for the tip. No problem getting the first round out, just a problem getting a clip right now. Mossberg's website was down yesterday. I'll call tomorrow and see if I can get them to send me a clip.
  16. outerlimits, Thanks for the video. I guess I knocked the cotter pin loose when cleaning things up. That was very helpful. Thanks again, Steve
  17. I took my JM 930 down for a good cleaning the other day and tried to push out the pin the holds the front shell stop, it wouldn't budge. Today while shooting trap and during the second round, while pushing the bolt release to chamber a round it wouldn't move. The pivot pin was almost out of the receiver and after wiggling things I was able to push it back in place and finish the round. (24 out of 25 ) What holds this pin in place. Thanks, Steve
  18. I ordered a case of B&P late Sunday night, 10/15/12, and they arrived today. Next Monday I'll go to the range and give some a try.
  19. I bought the same, rear sight only, and need to have it at it's lowest setting. This leads me to believe a taller front sight would allow for more adjustment. Please tell me what are you shooting that zeroed in at 100 yards. What's your POA at 50 yards and at 100 yards? Thank you, Steve I normally use Remington Low Recoil Slugger rounds and aiming on a normal USPSA paper target and usually have a palm size group in the A zone. I do not have to shift my point of aim at any distance out to around 125yds. I know this because at one of the past BRM3G matches, Andy put a metal USPSA sized target at I believe 128yds. I haven't worried with trying to find a taller front sight because honestly when do we really ever shoot past 75 yards much less past 100. I have taken "pot shots" at 200 yds and even 280 and hit targets, but that was a whole lot of luck involved. At 280 I would have done just as good holding the gun at waist level and "walk" the slugs in like a mortar!!! I haven't shot many slugs yet. Are you using Cyl. choke or can you use Mod.? Thanks
  20. Nope, all yours. I won't be grabbing that gun by mistake.

  22. I've heard this quite a few times from shooters in other states. There really is no need for concern about getting in trouble traveling with competition guns in IL. I know it doesn't sound like fun, but just transport your unloaded guns in cases, and leave your suppressors, machine guns, and concealed carry rigs at home and you'll be just fine. Those of us that live downstate have plenty of fun buying, transporting, and shooting whatever we would possibly want for 3-gun firearms. It's pretty rough within the city limits of Chicago as far as gun laws go, but that's why we don't go up there! So you guys from the freedom-loving state if Missouri come on over and we'll have a blast shooting this match in Sparta! Nick I totally agree with Nick. The thought of going into IL. has always been a problem with me. But, when I go there I always see friendly like minded people and after talking with them I feel like I'm at home with friends. So, if you have out of state tags you may be a target, just behave yourself and all should be good. It's truly amazing seeing the Sparta complex in a State that's known for not being "gun friendly" Lets see? Grand American Trap? IL. State IDPA Championship, maybe USPSA level 2 next year, top notch Cowboy shooting and now real (outlaw) 3-gun (limited only by the space available, at this time). I'd love to get in on an IPO for this outfit. Steve
  23. +1 The facilities, staff, stage's and the match were all top notch. I think it ended much sooner than anyone had imagined and we all just relaxed for a little while until we headed up for the included dinner. After feasting on some really good food the awards were announced and a random drawing took place where everyone left with a prize. I was on the road home around 6:00 PM. Steve
  24. I'm thinking of putting a non-vented Poly Choke II on my JM 930. This won't move me to OPEN will it? Or should I just use extended choke tube and change them when needed? Thanks, Steve
