  1. 50 yards off a table and bag. Don't knock it until you try it.
  2. Our 1st Anniversary is coming up Apr. 12th. Seen here holding my MAJOR gun.
  3. Yes it must be a heavy RM because it does have some orange paint residue. Also I am shooting 180gr MG JHP how often do you clean your barrel and what do you use. I use Barrett Big Bore cleaner in my rifles and that will remove copper fouling but not sure about brass fouling. Is there a good cleaner for brass fouling or does the copper solvents work equally as well for brass jacketed bullets?
  4. I have a new Executive that I had Dawson do the enhancement package on. I absolutely LOVE the gun and it shoots Extremely accurate. I was just seeing how many people will change springs to better fit their shooting technique. I have the Recoil Master guide rod in the gun and have no idea what # sping it is. It would be the factory setup I would assume unless Dawson would have changed it out. Can anyone tell me what # spring I have and what other # springs would you try? Also where can a get some and what is the going price? #2. What would be some good spare parts to have. I am planning on shooting in the Mississippi Classic and would like to get a few "good to haves" incase I run into some trouble.
  5. Well I am new to USPSA and will probably be in C class once I get enought classifers. My goal is to get into A class and then evaluate from there. My second goal is this. A good friend and a really good shooter told me at my last match "now that you have that new gun you are going to have to buy an STI shit to wear at the matches." My reply was and this is goal #2 "I want to get so good that they send me a shirt." So I guess some will laugh at that but my wife told me the other day. "Baby shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars." So STI I am waiting .
  6. Thanks for the heads up Pepper I have one on the way.
  7. Put a round in each station when you are adjusting the seating die. You will get vaired OAL loading one round at a time versus a round in every station. Also continued throws will bell the case "extra". That is why I will put a case still w/ a spent primer in that station to check the charge. Once the charge is right you want to run that case through the sizing die in station 1 so that you do not have any setback issues with that round due to over belling. Also on your stroke you want nice steady consistant pressure. Do not press the handle like a mad man the more consistant you are the more consistant the rounds will be.
  8. Don't feel too bad about it. The only real TIGERS play in the SEC. And I am not talking about Auburn.
  9. I use WSF for 40S&W and 9mm and get really consistant charges. There does not seem to be a whole lot of talk about this powder but my guns are still relatively clean after matches. Really accurate loads. I would like to hear if others are using this powder and what what there loads and PF are. Please give bullet, grn of powder, and OAL.
  10. I have had good luck with Isso Polish.
  11. Even a Duck has enough sense to come south for the winter.
  12. So what is the concensus on CCI. I only saw one person state anything and that was it was ok but seemed to split after only a few reloadings.
  13. I have some WSF and ordered some Montana Gold 180gr JHP. I have Winchester small pistol primers. These rounds are going to be for an STI Executive. How much powder and what OAL would you guys recommend. I am new to all of this so any help would be appreciated.
