  1. Thank you for your Question. The drop in kit for the XD is in the works and will be released later this year.
  2. You are welcome. I look forward to hearing back about what you find out.
  3. I don't have my camera warmed up but a 1911 is roughly 1.3" wide (depending on the grips)and the XDM 45 is about 1.29" wide. I know that there is a lot of debate/opinion regarding the best cal to carry and here is my take on it. Either give a big bullet or give me lots of small ones. My choice is a XDM 9mm 3.8 compact. 13+1 rounds of 9mm in a concealable package that is accurate and reliable. It is just my opinion and choice.
  4. It could also be a problem with the chamber of the barrel... Or the case coming back and bumping the nose of the extractor and pushing it off the rim. If this is the case you should be able to see a mark on the base of the brass ahead of the rim.
  5. I don't have any inside information, but if I were a betting man my bet would be at the shot show.
  6. I just noticed this post. If you are still looking we have them. It is not really a common spring to replace so have not put them on the website. I'll try to that next week.
  7. Not a problem.... I thought that mag release was in your #3 gun... Must be hard trying to keep track. How light do you want the trigger springs in percentages? -60% from stock? I'll also look in to some sticky stuff for the grip tape.

  9. Scott, I would not say that Rob using our trigger parts if I did Not have His Explicit Permission say so.
  10. Rob uses our trigger parts in his xd/xdm. Springfield has some outstanding gunsmiths that work on his pistols as I understand it.
  11. Googled "Ortiz Custom Guns" and came up with Ortiz Custom Guns Savannah, GA 31406.... Have yet to find a website but they are on f-book
  12. Congratulations on the new XDM 5.25" I doubt that you will ever have any regrets. In the long run the price of the pistol is a small part of the shooting equation... after ammo, mags, and range fees ect. The funny thing is that it is usually the most agonizing purchase.
  13. Come Check it out in the Vendor Tent!
  14. Glad that you got it figured out and that you are happy
  15. The big advantage with the Adj. rear sight is that you can adjust for elevation and dial the sights in to your gun/load. The .100 is considered to be a faster sight. The .125 is slower but more precise.
  16. I agree that it is not a good idea to mix and match parts/kits from different manufacturers. I also agree that you will get the best results if you send your pistol to a pistolsmith that specializes in the XD/m. The parts that I offer in our trigger kit are the same parts that I use for trigger jobs in my shop. My intentions, when I designed the trigger kit were to: 1. Develop a method for doing trigger jobs that did not require modifying (or completely removing) the striker safety in the slide. 2. Eliminate the need to drill a hole in the trigger bar in order to install an over travel stop. This was causing the older cast trigger bars to fail. What I ended up with is a reliable trigger kit that requires no permanent modification to the pistol, removes almost all the take up/over travel, drastically reduces reset, and gives a light clean break.
  17. I offer -10% striker springs with my titanium striker indicator kit. http://shop.powderriverprecision.net/produ...mp;categoryId=4
  18. The Trigger on the XDM is an improvement over the XD but as stated it is not all that it can be. The biggest difference is in the amount of take up (the take up on the XD is longer). The reset on the XDM is more consistent then the XD however it still has some "re-take up" ie the trigger resets and then you have to pull it back slightly to prep for the next shot. Over all the XDM is an improvement and a grate pistol.
  19. You could try and add a touch more pressure to the "center" leg of the sear spring.
  20. okay, i'll check out the dawson fiber optic front sight. That along with a trigger job should be a nice setup for my better half. Sights, trigger job, extended mag release, and solid guide rod are some of the typical upgrades for a production xd/m
