Living in upstate New York, I know to bad for me right !!!! However any suggestions for an experienced gunsmith around Albany, NY or points north from there . One who has shot in USPSA or Pistol shooting / action sports.

Only My 2 cents; I get tested at work for my qualifications on a 2 year cycle, with 3 separate written tests and many practical exams. In the middle of that time I get retention exams, audits by my customer and accredited by outside organization. at any time I can be asked to perform many operations. If I have any failures or errors it could be an upgrade or another test, I don't need another job, this is a sport I'd like too Enjoy!!!! once it becomes another job I will stop shooting it.

any info out there about the Nighthawk Talon FLX double stacker 9mm?? seems interesting but alot of other options for a 3 grand piece.

I have run @ 7000-10,000 round through a 1911 single stacker, S&W 45 acp, havent shot it in 2 seasons and before I start (limited 10/ CDP) having problems on the range I am looking for a complete reliability and spring change out. check firepin, extractor the works. I want to change its sights to fiber optic with an adjustable rear, front grip strap checkering, and its S&A mag well beveled to match the grips, then some reblueing.

Any suggestions would be appreiated, at home in New York, Saratoga area. not afraid to go eastcoast.

Hey GISMap, My brand new purchased M&P40 shot 12.5" high and to the left? what happen to Quality Control on this one? A custom Novak front sight and alot of Trigger work seems to have to corrected this S&W nightmare..... before I knew it I had alot of time and effort into it when I should of sent it back to it manufacture.

I believe the last New York IDPA State Championship was held upstate in a town named Wilton many years ago. So many ago I cant remember what year??? 2003-2004 maybe? sad, not much of an IDPA venue there now!

Hey Tc 99, I use that source at my job, side note. I am amazed and interested about the simple green/water usage for cleaning the M&P's. I must try, can you give me your directions on the do and do- nots? And you actually let the water go right into the slide/frame components internals without any problems or risks to parts or reliability? sounds quick and clean.

I have numerous rigs from Dave (kytac) and he has always been up front on delivery times even when extended time was required and has always built legal equipment for me. He once issues me a hoslter > than the 1/4 inch drop at the breach and once identifed to him he was more than happy to replace or refund my monies. About 7 years ago I had surgery on my dominant arm and had a state match I had already signed up, no refunds possible. I contacted Dave and he had a left handed rig for my pistol too me in 1 week. I can go on and on with Daves positives and I've always loved his non mass production product. Sure you can go to the big guys that have a million rigs on the shelf I tend to like supporting the guys you see at the ranges. Ditto for Mr. Drager products from TKW Kydex. Keep trying Dave and He will come through!

Revchuck, I believe the first rule book had the p7m8 listed in the stock service pistol division however I was shooting the P7M10 40S&W double stacker and that fell into Enhanced due to it not being listed in the SSP like the p7m8. Couldnt figure that one out, must of been the 8 round mag limit, both single action pistols per my definition.
