  1. I don't know the rules that well, but I had a blast and want to play again next year. I want to send out a big thank you to all the sponsors and Robert. Bill
  2. This was my first major USPSA match and I am really impressed. The match was very well run in spite of the weather conditions. The stages were great and the RO's were giving all they had to help us have fun. The stages were full of things to distract us from the shooting and showed tremendous thought and a lot of work. Next year the weather will be perfect. Bill
  3. Look out Paul, I'm going to Waco in order to get trigger time while waiting to play at 2Tap. I gotta chase dot!!! I can't wait to try and hit something while trying to out roll a 5 foot super ball that wants to bounce me out of the way. I am not looking forward to shooting with "hand condoms" though. Bill
  4. You never know what the situation is. I tell my wife I love her constantly because after 25 years...She is still hot and I am fat and bald. She tells me the same because... I'm insured and not in great health. Bill
  5. That's not fair!!!!! I want to play and I don't want to wait my turn!!!!! What's new. Ya'll are going to have fun. Bill
  6. I e-mailed Joseph a link and know it will warm his heart as much as it does mine. He doesn't do his job because of the money or the great food, he just really likes smoke and noise. He would rather have to do his job anywhere other than American soil. Thanks Bill
  7. My son had a layover at DFW airport today on his way home from Iraq and my wife and I got to go have lunch with him. We were standing at the gate with a banner when he got off the plane because American Airlines gave us a pass to get into the secured area. I am proud of the job he went to do and am thankful to have him home until the next time he needs to go. Bill
  8. Gotcha on the dust cover. My package from CED is out for delivery today. I couldn't find another that would work left handed and I am much to cool to use a shower cap. I was also afraid that I would melt a shower cap with all the extra shots I am going to need. Bill
  9. This is scary!!!!! My first major USPSA match is going to have twice as many shooters as the biggest IDPA match I ever shot. I am ready to get started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill
  10. I have witnessed three dropped guns with a Ghost and none with a CR speed so my experience seems different than some. I have been very happy with my CR speed and like the option of leaving it locked for a sitting start, and then yanking it through the lock. It works for me. Bill
  11. I have trained with Steve Moses at Bluffdale firearms academy. My son took his AK course before he headed to the sandbox and credits the training he received with helping him come home. That, in itself is enough for me. My wife and I are taking another class in May. Steve suggests that we all get training from several people and pick out what works best for us. There isn't a best way for everyone. I like that. Bill
  12. A square Deal is not that much more than a Lee so if you plan on going that way, just wait until you can do it the first time. My Pro 1000, Trubor, and Eagle just run so I guess I am just lucky. I am very happy with my Lee press and have no desire to change. Whatever you get will require a learning curve to perfect and then you will be fine. Bill
  13. Congratulations Matt I have been married to my first wife for 25 years now and I fully expect her to be my only one. I hope ya'll are as happy as we are this far down the road. Bill
  14. David, bring me 1000 rounds of your brass and I will load and test it. I will get back to you with the results. I think it is that off brand firearm you are trying to use because my STI just runs anything I stuff in the magazine. Bill
  15. I am going to be there! Yippee! I was really excited about 2 Tap, but this is even better. Bill
  16. Catfish taught us a game where we fire a headshot and then back up 3 steps and do it again. High Velocity and I ran out of room on a 25 yard bay and had to start going weak hand. I missed the second round so he won that day. I know I can make a 25 yard head shot, so a 5 yard doesn't scare me at all. With the process of stepping back, you see the changes a little at a time. Give yourself three tries to make it at first from each position and you will know exactly where you start to have trouble. Bill
  17. It is all subjective and changes with the situation. Most of the people I play with are good shooters and quite a few are exceptional. Bill
  18. I really, really like my STIs and do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, but the Armor Tuff finish on my Wilson CQB os great. The pistol does not rust, even where the coating is rubbed off. Bill
  19. I have an XD with Rich's trigger work and will shoot it this weekend. Don't let all this mess get into your head. Just shoot that new blaster and have fun with it. That is why you had it done!!!!! Bill
  20. Very wise Catfishson! Bill
  21. Cool nights, warm days, and nobody to disrupt your world. Sounds about perfect. Glad you had a great time. Bill
  22. I told you I thought my batteries were weak because I couldn't see the dot!!!!! You did get back into form. Bill
