  1. M&P9 fs Warren Tactical Rear Warren Fiber Front (blacked out) Tuned Trigger
  2. I had the warren sight on my 4.25 M&P with the stock front sight and it shot the same POA as the stock sights. I recently switched to the warren FO front with the warren rear and it shoots the same POA. So, I don't think they are set up for 6:00 hold. The 5in m&p's have a different sight set up so I'm not sure what will change with it.
  3. What did Smith and Wesson do? Replace parts or replace springs? I don't think the sheet they returned with the gun explained much. I think it just said disassembled - inspected - test fired. However, the sear was replaced at the same time because I had the performance center do their action package while it was in for repairs.
  4. I have an m&p 45 with the thumb safety. I primarily got the thumb safety model because i was not comfortable with just the trigger safety when i purchased the gun. The only complaint I have about the thumb safety is that it does not have a hard click into the safe position.
  5. This happened with my 45 M&P. I sent it into smith after it did it about 5 times during a match and they fixed it. The trigger would reset if I taped the slide (no need to rack). In my case, I believe the trigger bar was getting stuck in the disconnect position. That is when the trigger bar is against the right side of the frame. Before I sent it in I found that keeping the area where the trigger bar and the frame touch clean reduced the number of failures.
  6. I also use 1-800-contacts. To get an idea of the price difference, eye doc was $340 vs $199 from 1-800-contacts.
  7. Midway has them, but they are special order 60+ days. p/n 685314 p/n 124680
  8. I've had good luck with stonewall bullet co. He usually answers e-mails in one day and ships out the lead on the same day he receives the check. http://www.marlinowners.com/forums/index.php?topic=23847.0
  9. Lead is ok in the M&P's. There are alot of factors that cause leading. Powder, lead composition, lube, and bullet diameter are the main ones. I've had good luck with Solo 1000 for the powder, water dropped 92-6-2 lead, and lee tumble lube. This combination resulted in very minimal leading. If you are buying your lead bullets, you might want to try 147 grain bullets. The 147's don't have to go as fast to meet power factor and can result in less leading. The other option is to try .357 sized bullets, but you will need to make sure they feed and chamber.
  10. 45 cal 230 RN and 357 158 RN With the 230 RN, I've had better luck with the 228 RN 1R in a 1911. The 230 RNTL 2R has a shoulder where the the TL groves start that caused some feeding problems. The feeding problems were similar to what happened when 200/185 swc's were loaded too short. Everyone's gun will be a little different, my M&P will feed all of them at any length.
  11. I use them in 45 and 9mm. I usually size the 9mm with the lee push through sizer, but not the 45's (don't seem to need it). Some of the TL mold bullet shapes didn't work as well as the standard lube grooves bullet shapes, What mold are you looking at?
  12. In regards to the major/minor, Was the 10 round capacity a significant advantage on stage 5, or did B.J. just smoke the stage? For example do the designers try to avoid 10, 11, 18, 19, 20, etc. round stages.
  13. My fs M&P had the opposite problem. Even after shooting a few thousand rounds through it, I couldn't release the slide with the slide release (with a reasonable amount of force). To fix this, I stoned the surface of the slide where the slide catch hits. I imagine if you "rough up" the portion of the slide where the slide release catches then it will reduce "slam charges."
  14. Instead of thinking about it as varying cost, I think about how many rounds can I load for the same amount of money. For example, 1k 124 CMJ ($76), 1k primers ($25), and powder ($9) would cost $110. For that same $110, I can load 1.48k rounds with lead bullets ($40.18/k).
  15. What you have is the S&B "Range Safe" ammo brass. They are copper washed steel cases. If you are worried about it, just run a magnet through you brass bucket and they will stick to it.
  16. Blackhawk makes a "Dual Rail Accessory Belt Loop". Dual Rail Accessory Belt Loop http://www.blackhawk.com/product/CQC-Dual-...Loop,330,82.htm http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum6347.php
  17. I'm sure it depends from gun to gun, but my M&P has no problem feeding 185 SWC and 200 SWC. The M&P feeds all SWCs loaded to various overall lenghts, while the 1911 is very sensitive to the overall length.
  18. Fobus mag pouches for Glock 36 and Blackhawk double stack mag holders both work with m&p 45 mags.
