Frist thanks for supporting our gig. We very excited about the second major match for TH3GN. We run about two 3 gun matches per month with 90-100 shooters…and its nice to be able to put on a major match in our area. We are also very fortunate to have Bushmaster as our title sponsor. They have been wonderful to deal with and we look forward to many more years with BFI!! No worries on the shooter number…it’s a computer programing thing. At present we have a FEW slot still open but will most likely they will close out soon after SHOT show and all sponsor are confirmed. As for Hotels: The match is being held at Woody’s Rifle and Hunt Club, 960 Christian Chapel Rd New Hill NC, (same as last year)… http://goo.gl/maps/xMrfM We are still talking with a match hotel but the place you want to be looking at is Apex NC. A short drive to the range. If you folks have any other questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out for us. There will be a few rules modification in the near future. That rules has changed. We will be updating the rules in the coming weeks or month. It will include scoring, equipment and divisional changes. We will have TO, O, TN/TI, HMO and H. As for establishing an account with TH3GN, make sure you check your spam email files when the site sends you a temp password. I would also suggest that you join the "email list" Tarheel 3 Gun Announcement Goggle group. The link is on the landing page of our site... This is where all of the updates go first then the web site. We are unlike any other “major match”, we have daily and weekly updates. Our events are not one and done…its perpetual. We have approximately two matches each month with 80-100 shooters. Future updates will happen via the Tarheel 3 Gun Announcement email list and on our website. The TigerSwan Range Complex (TRC) is a 1,000 acre range complex located 12 miles from downtown Fayetteville and just 18 miles from Fort Bragg. Safety - Designed from inception with safety being paramount, TRC ranges comply with Department of Defense (DOD) safety regulations (AR 385-63, Range Safety) and are compliant with state environmental requirements. Safety measures include 15 foot berms, as well as a Surface Danger Zone (SDZ) that is completely contained within the facility for 5.56 and 9 mm rounds. Update on the two "Tarheel 3 Gun Light" matches scheduled at Central Carolina Gun Club located in Burlington/Alamance NC.... We are planning on holding two TH3GN Light" matches...one is scheduled for Aug 19 and one for Sept 16. These matches are planned to give folks some exposure to CCGC and also help folks shakedown their gear before attending major 3 gun events scheduled for Aug and Sept. Here is the information on these events they will be a little different form our usual gig... The registration for the Tarheel 3 Gun Light Match schedule for August 19th is now live. This match will be held at Central Carolina Gun Club http://ccgci.org/Location.php . This range is 15 minutes from our usual venue... To register for this match got to http://tarheel3gun.com/ And follow the registration link. Keep in mind that this is not a sponsored event so there will be no rifle giveaway or mandated sponsor slots. This match is limited to 50 shooters and all shooters must be registered online and pay for the match online via the Tarheel Gun Registration link. INFO Date: Sunday, Aug 19th Sign In: 0800 Rounds Down Range: 0900 Number of Stages: 4 minimum....possible 5 for the Aug match (depending on range construction). Proposed round count, 10 slugs, 100 pistol, 120 rile and 50 shot...There will be one all S/G stage with at least 30 rounds. Since this is an "equipment shake down" type of event we will allow folks to follow the major match shotgun tube rules, Shotgun magazines capacity is unlimited, however only 9 (8 plus 1) rounds permitted in gun at the start. Cost: $20.00 (if more stages are added in Sept the fee will be $30.00) Please remember this range is still a work in progress. There are no covered range areas or in door facilities....Yes there is a port a john. Please make certain you bring plenty of water and shade apparatuses.
