  1. You will register for a match or matches, your entry then is promoted into the match or wait listed (based on available slots) you will receive a payment invoice (could be a few days or a week) then the invoice will state payment term and methods, once payment is processed your slot is secure. So having said that we will not be taking payments Thursday but invoicing short there after...once you have your invoice and you pass the do date you will move to a wait list. All matches that you are promoted into must be paid for at one time. All invoice will be paid online....no snail mail paper checks. 2. It also looks like you can shoot 9mm in HM Optics (7.5.1.5)and a pump shotgun is not required (7.5.2. 1-9).I wonder if the one hit anywhere scoring rule exception for HM applies to HM optics? No on the one hit for HMO..that rule is only for HM.

  4. I am not certain what you mean "by standard stages"? Maybe classifier stages? We may have one or two classifier stages in the regional matches. They will include some of the new classifiers which could function as a stage in any three gun match, see below. Next we (3 Gun Nation) have compiled a very experienced staff to admin, design, and run the 2014 3GN Regional Series. We do intend to engaged some local help to staff RO slots but the admin, range master, CRO , MD and stage design will come from the 3GN staff. The stages will offer "shooter options" and consist of long range rifle (but not a DMM , approximate 200 to 300 yards) , high round count shotgun courses, and one or two dynamic "bay type" courses. We will also employee the "3GN Rifle Platform". 3GN and MGM are designing a rifle barricade that will be used on all long range rifle engagements. This affords a competitor a fare and consistent rifle positions which will make rifle stages about marksmanship. If you are curious what the 3GN Regional stages might entail check out some of these YouTube links, it will give you a fare taste of the 3GN Regional stage design flavor: http://youtu.be/jjfNqyiX4SI http://youtu.be/hlljZLG_ffE The majority crew that is designing these events puts on one or two 3 gun match per month that usually see 80-100 competitors per event and they generally have a waitlist. 5. I should be able to post the equipment divisions on Monday. A few more reviews on the entire rule set. The scoring will be a two hits any where.
  6. No 3gn membership not needed to join our match. However our match will run the 3 Gun Nation Rules and a few classifier as side stages. If folks want those to be submitted to 3gn they would then need to be a member. As for statement it is in a cornfield....I we disagree with that, the folks at Woody's Rifle and Hunt Club might also. It is a great venue that hosts some of the largest DMM and Sniper Matches in the County, Numerous Trainers and firearms related TV show use this venue..it also host the Bushmaster Tarheel3gun Challenge and some Bushmaster Tarheel3gun Monthly Matches. They take great pride in this place and keep the roads in great shape and go the extra mile to provide a safe and WELL maintained venue.
  7. Folks please make sure you have a current 3gunnation account. If not you will have to complete that process first, which will delay your match entry. Also know which regional you want to to attend 1st..because you will have to repeat a several step process for each event. Last make certain the email attached to your account is a good one and that you monitor it. This is how you are notified if you are in an event or wait listed, payment invoices are sent to those emails too.
  8. Yes good question. However the system is built to have the user register for each event separately. I would suggest picking the regional in your area first then going into other events. They key to making this happen faster is to already having your 3GN membership for 2014. You can do that now. Go to 3gunnation.com and click on membership then register for 2014.
  9. I will do my best on the updates...please also feel free to contact me if something not covered. Charles@3 gunnation.com or. 9192017990.

  13. We are welcoming input from all...I have learned that the more "group effort" on project the better. Usually that yields the best product. I am not about getting the gold star and building a personal pyramid...I learned the value of team work in my prior career. However, I do have one preference...I will use one or two high round count "jungle runs" with lots of clays and slug shots on paper and/or static steel. Today's loading system are crazy fast and folks can get a lot of rounds in the gun and down range while laying down some fast times. I am pretty confident you will see this theory presented to competitors at this years Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge and the 3 Gun Nation Regional Championship Events. Both of these venues are VERY well maintained and the natural terrain is plentiful. We have ran a few events at these spots this year and the competitors absolutely loved the facilities. So much Clinton House was awarded the 1st 3GN Regional event for 2014. Pat if you are invited to join in on suggestions , you know I am VERY open to input! Lastly, I am grateful to have the support of Remington on this deal. They have been VERY supportive of TH3GN's endeavors and competitive shooting sports as a whole. But their support in 2014 brings it to a different level. Please drop and THANK YOU to Remington.
  14. Remington announces title sponsor for the 2014 Versa Max Shotgun Challenge, two separate tactical shotgun events to be held on the east coast. These events will be hosted by Tarheel3gun who already share a twelve match 3 gun series with Bushmaster and a four match 3 gun series with Remington. The Versa Max Shotgun Challenge will feature two matches in 2014, the first event will take place in NC at Woody's Rifle and Hunt Club and is scheduled for July 12-13 , 2014 and the second event will take place in SC at The Clinton House Plantation on November 8-9, 2014. In 2014 these events will run as individual matches. At present the plans are to run 11-14 stages which will include bird, buck shot and slugs. Tarheel3gun is reaching out to a few national sponsored and accomplished shot gunners so as to craft a exciting and challenging event..with these resources and the support of Remington you will certainly experience a great match as well as a very nice prize table. Stay tuned.... Many THANKS to Remington for support! For more info email charles@tarheel3gun.com or call 9192017990.
  15. We are in the final edit on the rules...yes the intl 3 gun last month ran under the rules that govern the classifier which have been time plus.please note we at 3GN had been asked to do those classifier stages as a side match deal. That changed, not by us but other running the event. We were advised that Folks wanted to earn classifier chips so we had to use the time plus rules, that is all. It was an effort to get folks classifiers by the match staff.
  16. Very well put Pat. I think all have lost track of the goal of 3GN....grow the game....we have and will continue to grow the sport of 3 gun...1k plus club members in seven months 73 clubs some international in seven months...the regional are just another effort by 3GN...to GROW THE GAME we call 3 gun....Pat I look forward to seeing you and many other 3gunners in SC, Vegas, KY and TX. 18. Many thanks to the Remington, Bushmaster, Para USA and DPMS for supporting the 3GN Regional.. the table just ot reaaly big...more to come folks http://3gunnation.com/news/details/artmid/509/articleid/243489/3gn-regional-championships-land-100-guns-for-prize-tables
  19. Industry power houses, Remington, Bushmaster, Para USA and DPMS see the value in the 3GN Regionals: 3-Gun Nation has reached an agreement with Remington, Bushmaster, DPMS Panther Arms and Para USA, who will be placing 100 firearms on the prize tables for the inaugural 3GN Regional Championships in 2014. 3-Gun Nation announced today that Remington, Bushmaster, DPMS Panther Arms and Para USA will be Match Title Sponsors for the inaugural 3GN Regional Championships in 2014 and will place 100 firearms on the prize tables. Each company is named a Match Title Sponsor for one of the four respective events. They will put 25 firearms on each prize table—a remarkable sponsorship package that promises to elevate the 3GN Regional Series, presented by Cheaper Than Dirt!, as “must-shoot” matches in 2014. It is the only major competition series open to all 3GN Members. The series begins March 1-2 in Clinton, SC, with the Para USA 3GN Southeast Regional Championship. The second match of the series, the Remington 3GN West Regional Championship, takes place in Las Vegas, NV, May 17-18. The series then heads to the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, KY Aug. 16-17 for the DPMS Panther Arms 3GN Midwest Regional Championship. Finally, the series culminates in Marble Falls, TX at the Bushmaster 3GN Southwest Regional Championship Oct. 11-12. Semi-Pro, Lady and Junior points races will all take place within these four Regional matches. There is a rule change from 2012: a competitor only needs one score to be ranked nationally, and only a competitor’s top score overall will count toward any points race. Thus, if a competitor shoots one match or all four, only the top score will count towards Semi-Pro, Lady or Junior points races. 3GN Classifier stages will also be part of the mix during all 3GN Regional Series matches, meaning 3GN members have even more to compete for at each match. All Classifier stages will count toward Club Series points races and will be scored as part of the hosting venue’s home club. With Semi-Pro, Lady, Junior and 3GN Classifiers scored at each 3GN Regional, there is much to compete for in the 3GN Regional Series in 2014. Moreover, for any member just wanting to shoot the matches, with the sponsorship of Remington, Bushmaster, DPMS Panther Arms, and Para USA, the prize tables alone will rival any in the game. “Remington, Bushmaster, DPMS and Para, with their generous contributions to this new program, have enabled 3GN to launch the 3GN Regional Series on an extremely high note,” said Chad Adams, 3GN Vice President. “With Charles Sole and Tennille Chidester running these events, along with the entire 3GN team, I’m confident these are going to be the very best major matches in the country. And now, thanks to our amazing industry partners, we’re well on our way to backing up great matches with what will be the finest prize tables—per competitor—in all of 3-gun!” Each 3GN Regional will feature a competitor match fee of $225. With a select field of approximately 200 competitors, plus staff, and a goal of $150K per prize table, that equates to an average of nearly $700 in prizes per competitor. Combined with sponsorship contributions from Stag Arms, Leupold Tactical Optics, Hiperfire Triggers, and Barnes Precision Machine, each 3GN Regional Championship match now has a total of 33 firearms, three complete uppers, 15 trigger units and five scopes. That comes to 56 major prizes per match, so nearly one out of every four competitors will walk away from the prize table with a major prize. Add in Cheaper Than Dirt’s $25K in product certificates per match, along with more sponsorship announcements expected soon, and the 3GN Regional Series momentum is achieving new heights. For Remington Arms Company, LLC along with its sister companies, this 3GN Regional Championship sponsorship is the latest in a continually-growing commitment to the sport of 3-gun. “We are proud to be a major part of 3-gun competition, one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing shooting sports today,” said Carlos Martinez, the Senior Brand Manager for Remington Outdoor Company. “Remington is excited to see 3-gun quickly becoming the shooting sport of choice for people of all ages and an increasing number of women as well.” In 2011, Bushmaster upped its involvement in 3-gun by becoming the title sponsor for the Bushmaster Tarheel 3-Gun monthly series as well as the annual Bushmaster Tarheel Challenge. Then in 2012, Remington partnered with Tarheel 3-Gun to create a unique four-match, quarterly series in which Remington ammunition and Versa Max shotguns graced the prize tables. In 2013, following the 3GN Pro Series Qualifier, Team Bushmaster was formed with 3GN Pros Aaron Reed, Rob Tate and Ravin Perry who in their rookie year on the tour have qualified for the final Shoot-Off in Las Vegas, NV. 2013 also marked the advent of the 3GN Club Series, in which Remington played a pivotal role in the launching of that ground-breaking initiative, donating 50 Versa Max shotguns to entice local clubs to get into the game. Registration for all four 3GN Regional Championships will begin Nov. 28 at https://memberships.3gunnation.com/Members/Register. Currently, only Club Series memberships are available—which does qualify one to register for a 3GN Regional match. Interested competitors are encouraged to have their membership already processed prior to logging on Nov. 28, as registration interest is expected to be high. More information regarding the start time of registration will be soon. 2014 3GN Regional Series Para USA - 3GN Southeast Regional Championship - March 1, 2 - Clinton, SC Remington - 3GN West Regional Championship - May 17, 18 - Las Vegas, NV DPMS Panther Arms - 3GN Midwest Regional Championship - Aug 16, 17 - Park City, KY Bushmaster - 3GN Southwest Regional Championship - Oct. 11, 12 – Marble Falls, TX
  20. You shot conservatively? Dang. I want to be there when you decide to push it. I shot this in a little practice session and was proud of a 20 second run. (Make that VERY proud.) What Division did you shoot yesterday? Bill glad to see folks are using these stages...if you have any questions please reach out to me......9192017990 or charles@3gunnation.com. Thanks for supporting the sport of 3gun! Charles
  21. Most certainly not. The AR15.com/ Rockcastle Pro-Am is the 4th weekend as always. That close together will be difficult for many to attend both matches due to work constraints, travel time and expenses,..... Love shooting at Rockcastle and loved shooting the Pro-Am this year. Considering the already established match that sells out in seconds, I would have thought scheduling those two matches further apart at the same venue would have been a better idea. The Rock Castle 3 GN Regional was scheduled by request..it will be two weeks of fun....if you make both OUTSTANDING, however if you only make one then that is GREAT also, please keep in mind it all about growing the game of 3 Gun.
  22. 8 to 9 stages....classifiers as a side match. But please note that there are several new classifiers coming out in 2014... MANY should be able to function (in any match) as a stage. See picture this stage is in the vetting process. Always feel free to call or email me with your questions..9192017990 or cahrles@3gunnation.com.....thanks for supporting the sport of 3gun!
  23. We plan to have the 3gn regional rules for 2014 out soon. Final tweaks... Charles
