  1. Folks if you have any questions about our matches email me at info@tarheel3gun.com or call me at 919-201-7990 or 919-422-6465. The June match is going to be a blast and it is filling up. Also consider making one of our monthly matches. We are one of four select clubs for the 3 Gun Nation Pilot program for the club series. Our monthly matches will also prep you for the June event. Make sure you go to our web page and add your email to our Google group. We require pre registration on the monthly matches...we get about 100-120 pre registrations for the monthly match and only take 93 shooters. 3GN was present at our last match and posted the following video http://3gunnation.com/media/videos/tarheel_3-gun We are the brand for 3 Gun on the East Coast! Go to http://tarheel3gun.com/dprc/ The monthly matches are held at the Durham Pistol and Rifle Club which IS NOT located in Durham NC it is in Haw River NC (Mebane NC) which is about 25 miles west of Durham NC near Greensboro NC. We will have some movment but its not going to be S/F selection like some other events...we are shooters not runners. Thanks, Hope to see you at the Range!

  3. We have a new web page for the DPRC 3 gun it is updated often! http://dprc.org/three_gun.html The March match will be SUNDAY March 28th start time 10am.
  4. The decision has been made to postpone the January match that was scheduled for this Saturday until February 27, 2010. I hate that we had to postpone this gig. However, since it is a point system type match and the impending weather we did not want to start off on the wrong foot. We did not want to take the risk with the crazy weather. I hope you all have a safe weekend and we hope to see you in February. Please pass the word! AGAIN, THE DRPC 3-GUN MATCH THIS SATURDAY HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO FEBRUARY 27. MARK YOUR CALENDAR WITH THE NEW DATE.
  5. We are looking at a forecast of bad weather for this weekend’s match. I may end up cancelling it. I will try and post to this site but call me before you make the trip. 919-201-7990. A few dates changed… we will hold matches on the following dates: Here are the dates for the 2010 DPRC 3 gun matches Jan 30 Feb 27 May 8 July 31 Sept 25 Oct 30 Dec 11 championship match Club web page has the dates and map info: http://www.dprc.org/
  6. I would like to thank you folks for supporting the 3 or 2 gun matches at Drakes Landing. I have enjoyed setting them up and I hope you had fun. In 2010, I will be moving my efforts to a NEW 3 gun match at Durham Pistol and Rifle Club in Mebane NC. Myself and a few of the SRNC folks will be running this match. We guarantee that these matches will go in a different and exciting direction. DPRC has made the huge investment in 3 gun. Without hesitation they purchased steel, various target systems, and match supplies for the upcoming year. They are certainly committed to supporting 3 gun. Plan “A” is to hold six matches in 2010 on the second Saturday of every other month (starting in Jan). Plan “B” is again six matches in 2010, which will fall on Jan 30, March 13, May 29, July 31 Sept 11, Oct 30 and Nov 27. I will confirm the dates next week. We hope that this schedule will let folks support the Pitt Co Matches as well as other events on the SRNC calendar. DPRC will offer shooters rifle shots out to 300 yards, CQB handgun, rifle and shotgun as well as some nice “jungle runs”. These matches will be a true 3 gun, incorporating a even mixture of handgun, shotgun and pistol (this is not a two gun with a side shotgun match). The average round count will be 70 rifle, 90 handgun, 30 shot and 8 slugs. Our goal will be to provide the shooters with a great range facility (real bathrooms for Steve W), safe and challenging scenarios and a lot of camaraderie and fellowship. We also hope to gain a bunch of new 3 gunners. The folks at DPRC are all ready talking about an annual prize table type match, but those logistic are still being worked out. It may be based on a match to match point system…your ideas on that are welcome. I hope folks will give us a try and see what we have to offer at DPRC. If you would like to help out or have suggestion please send me a PM. I hope to see you at the DPRC 3 gun in 2010. DPRC is located about 20 minutes west of Durham NC and about 15 minutes South of Burlington, NC. This event will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2009. This site will soon be updated with information concerning the Fall NC Local NRA TPC. The NRA Law Enforcement Activities Division has created a new and dynamic multi-gun competition for police, military, and private sector law enforcement personnel (this match is restricted to active or retired military, law enforcement, private sector security as well as law enforcement firearms instructors). NO COMPETITIVE SHOOTING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. Your ability will be tested using duty firearms and gear as you face hypothetical firearms engagements. This program is designed for patrol officers, military personnel, tactical officers, investigators and instructors using standard duty gear. All you need is your duty handgun & holster, magazines, duty shotgun, patrol rifle or carbine, ammunition, and a desire to have fun. Don’t have a Patrol Rifle or Shotgun? We will have one you can use. Just bring your own ammunition. If you have had the opportunity to shoot at “The Range” you know how awesome the matches are. If you have not enjoyed the experience of a match at “The Range” I assure you that you will walk away in awe. “The Range” has a large inventory of target configuration, from swinger, mover and steel. There is also a bunch is props to include actual vehicles that will test your skill shooting from, into and around real vehicles. This match will not only be competitive but more important a helpful training experience.
