  1. yeah...that's awesome.. I'm speechless
  2. I'm a USPSA Revolver newbie!!! This was my first season shooting anything like USPSA, and I love shooting revolver. I went to my first local match in April, and I was hooked! I've met a lot of great people, I've learned a lot of good information, and I've had a blast. Hopefully, I will get to some bigger matches next year, but it will probably be a while before I'll feel up for nationals. Now, I just wish our local clubs shot through the winter
  3. How much does a camdex sorter run? They don't have the price on their website...
  4. I had a blast!! A big thanks to everyone that made it possible. This was my first big match, and I enjoyed every minute of it!!!! Squad 23 was a fun bunch to shoot with, too! It was nice meeting such a good group of people this weekend, and I'm sure looking forward to next year's match! Hopefully I'll get to go to more matches next year Tom
  5. I yank on the trigger no matter what gun it is!!! LOL I will have to agree. It seems like revolvers tend to bring me back to the real world...
  6. I have two that are the "Click" adjustment, and i've never had any issues with them. This one just happens to be brand new. It came on a new open gun that i bought about a month and a half ago. As long as it continues to light up, i guess it's no big deal.
  7. I have a Cmore with the standard rheostat. When you turn it on, you have to turn it almost all the way to to even see it, and then it's either too bright or too dim/off. Has anyone else seen this happen?
  8. I have a .410 Millet (plain black) if anyone is interested PM me. I tried it, and i like the small factory rear best. It seems to help me when there's no big rear sight to get in the way of the front sight. Who looks at sights anyway?...lol
  9. I was wondering if anyone had any steel target designs. I'm looking for ideas to make some steel targets for practice. Even up close pictures of targets would be great. Anything is appreciated! Thanks.
  10. I just picked up one of these...couldn't resist
  11. Harbor freight has one for 80 bucks that actually does a pretty good job. If you want to experiment with an ultrasonic cleaner, that's cheapest way to start.
  12. does anyone have the stage diagram for this stage?
  13. I blame it on the buzzer. As soon as that thing goes off, it wipes out my memory completely.
  14. That tells me that it's not the powder. You could have gotten a bad batch of bullets...who knows? Try about 3.5gr of bullseye with that bullet.. That will be light, and may not cycle the slide though. I've actually used that same bullet with 2.5-3.0grs of bullseye in 38 specials for steel matches. Never had that problem even through a larger bore diameter. Precision bullets are really the best bang for the buck. They are great quality and shoot great. The only issue is that they are way behind!
  15. You can try a different powder, but mainly try different amounts. I doubt that it's just because you are using bullseye as a powder. Try slower velocity loads and higher velocity loads to see if there is any sign of improvement. Chances are that it is an issue with the bullets.
  16. regardless of powder, you'll still see a lot of smoke with cast bullets. The bullet lube is the biggest problem, though it is a necessity with cast bullets. If you really want to reduce the smoke, try jacketed or plated bullets. You'll still get a little smoke with bullets like precision, but not very much compared to cast bullets.
  17. I've heard that it was a good powder for 9 major, and luckily, i have a bunch of it. I plan on using 125's after i burn through the 147's. Thanks for the info! I'm just now getting started on loading 9mm, so i'll be ready when i pick up my new open gun Looks like i'll just be loading some minor loads to burn up those 147's.
  18. I was just wondering if anyone had any major loads with Hodgdon Longshot and a 147gr bullet. I have a bunch of it and i want to shoot it up!
  19. That's a great feeling!!! Great Job!! After that first one, they seem to happen more frequently! Just be patient. I still have my hat from my first 25!!
  20. I've been using Decot Hy-wyd glasses for a long time. They are great quality, work well with muffs, and have tons of shades of lenses to pick. They don't fog, distort, or blur at all. They can also do custom RX if you need them. Also, at any time you can send them back, and they will put new springs and pads on them for free! It's hard to beat that. www.sportglasses.com
  21. You always want to have a strong crimp on your 45's. It helps with consistent ignition, and those boogers start backing out if you don't crimp them well enough. Also, you'll have to find a clean powder. Clays and Vihtavouri work well. I have also used American Select recently, and that was very clean in my 625. I use a lot of Bullseye. It's pretty dirty, but i have LOTS of it to get rid of!! I haven't used WST, but i do know that Win. 231 starts getting very dirty when you load it lighter. Regular power loads aren't so bad, but steel loads leave a lot of gunk in the cylinder. As for the 625, I also have two. A 4" and a 5". THey are loads of fun, and i love them both.
  22. I have an old 686 with one, and it's been working for years. I have a brand new 625 that i put one in, and in less than 400 rounds it broke. I guess i just liked the idea, but honestly, there's no point in them.
