  1. FYI I recently picked up a Bagmaster Heavy Weapon Case to carry my 14.5" Bushmaster and 14" Mossberg 590 to the range. Pic here. I really like the cinch strap design. To make it a 2 rifle case, I bought a 1/2" thick foam cut to the inside dimension of the case. The added bonus with this case is that besides mags for the rifle, you can also carry your handgun in the 2 inside padded pocket. BTW the velcro is along the length of the pocket and not just a little patch as shown in the pic.

What gun? I can't even find Todd in the picture!
  3. YMMV... but I have read that Kimber's slide latch notch is slightly longer then norm therefore one "might not" be able to do a "sling shot" with a shok buff installed. Here's a post by Dane Burns, there are others in 1911forum.com. FWIW I do use buffs on my Colt and Valtro, I keep my Kimber Royal I stock.
  4. I don't own a Lee manual but 4.5gr of Clays(plain) for a 230gr bullet seems awefully high to me. FWIW my major load is 4.0gr of Clays, 230gr Montana Gold CMJ, WLP, OAL 1.255, Crimp 0.469.
  5. Quote: from Bill Schwab on 9:08 am on Sep. 26, 2002 ... I purchased both the Burner grips and the Springfield Armory grit grips... Bill, do these grips have the same thickness as stock wooden ones? TIA
  6. Mike, I have both Pistol Master and Matt B's video set. I feel "How to shoot fast..." is a more infomative video then PM. If you were to have to choose one, get Matt B's. It's a great set. BTW BE doesn't ship to Canada. You can order direct from Matt for his videos and for Pistol Master and "How to..." I bought mine fromGunsupermarket, based in Toronto.
  7. abcxyz... No only doesn't MPro7 lubricate, it "completely strips all of the oil and grease from the surface of the firearm." Above is a quote from the MPro 7 cleaning guide. The main advantage for the pricey MPro 7 is that it's odorless and non-toxic. I like using it when I clean my firearms at home. However, when I do my cleaning at the range I go back to the old standby - Hoppe's #9 and Hoppe's Copper Bore Solvent.
  8. Raul, I see Wilson's short trigger listed in the Brownell's catalog but I didn't find it in their website. What was the other brand you were looking at? I'm thinking of maybe getting a Dlask short trigger.
  9. OT: Raul, I'm interested to know which short trigger you ended up buying.
  10. Erik, Thanks for your reply. Since there's usually more then one reload through a COF, would it make sense to have to first two 771 pouches and the rest 773s?
  11. Quote: from Nik Habicht on 4:59 am on Feb. 16, 2002 ...Expensive for the para but worth it (and available here through Brian): Safariland 012 Holster, Safariland 771 Magpouch for the first reload, 773s for the rest. Another newbie here.... Nik, why do you recommend the 771 only for the first mag change and 773 for the others?
