    Glock 34 MODS

I kept my 34 completely unmolested, but took my 22 and stippled the frame and gave it the works, I would keep the mods you have on the 34 and call it a day.
  3. Where are you storing your pistol? I know i had some issues with rust because I was in a moisture rich enviroment, I started storing them in a safe with dehumidifier and had no issues since, stored generally dry.
  4. I go through this a couple times a year from climbing. First manage the pain, use motrin or some type of anti-inflam. and maintain active therapy ice/heat. also, if it comes down to it, use the band to relieve the stress on it. Also, stretching helps. Lastly, keep up your dosage of MSM or some kind of Joint over the counter supplement. Bioflex/Triflex.
  5. 6-9 BRS here, good quality and pretty rugged. low profile and not extremely heavy.
  6. Ive tried every light and honestly the best out there is surefire, its there bread and butter, all there products are quality.
  7. You try 75gr through that barrel, I shoot 75 and 77 through my 1/7 16", and swear by the 75gr. hornady. Know its not in the realm if your looking for lower price loads.
  8. Comes down to ergonomics for me, I have a lot of friends who use the scar, and I can tell you that if your use to the carbine it takes a while to get use too. Everything sits up high and I cant drive the gun from target to target like I can a standard carbine. The 7.62 Ive heard nothing but good things, but overall I honestly dont have patience to change decades of shooting the carbine.
  9. Get yourself a little more structure and have a plan each range session. Invest in some NRA 25M bulls, and give yourself 10 rounds and 5 minutes per 10 min. session for slow aimed fire.
  10. Did you have the issues when you shot it? Sounds like limp wristing like you said.
  11. Welcome, Whats the shooting scene in Argentina Like?
  12. Pretty good site. PS. stay away from 20 Mile rucks if your trying to get in shape, rucking long distances will not help with overall fitness. Instead I would do short ruck runs, with around 35-45lbs.
  13. Got any pics of your berm? Doing the same thing, thought about putting in sod on the tops, or at least seed to maintain the integrity of the top of the mound so I dont get the mudslide effect.
  14. ooh not sure of the formula, but I went through one hell of a time trying to work adjustable sights on my G34, enough to where I sold it out of frustration. I recall having to go to a .215 tall sight mated with my adjustable rear, the best setup I had were the sevigny combo, fixed sights, still had a fiber optic front .215 and rear Warren Tactical Rear.
  15. I do the same thing with targets in and around 10yds. But I think its more natural because the target itself is closer and on steel there are no specific focal points or bulls. Like shooting on IPSC/IDPA paper, you can get away with your eyes dancing around a bit, but dont try that on 25m Bulls
  16. Im in the military now, But Im thinking about getting out soon and was thinking the scottsdale area, never been somewhere so gun friendly. Good luck!
  17. I ride the weakhand and mate up around the midchest, but was told my a few pros that you'll be faster if you mate your hands on target, just havent developed that muscle memory
  18. Still a little confused on the actual way he had the ND/AD... what seems the course is RO's and SO's not applying common sense before going to the rule book, there are many instances where the answer is not black and white and common sense should be applied. Not to Hijack, but once while shooting a tactical match they attempted to DQ my 416 because it fired on auto during an engagement, on target and downrange. nothing unsafe. I argued it was quick trigger manipulation and you can't determine a gun firing on auto by sound alone, I was on the gun I know what happened. The headshed came down, I explained what happened and the RO was put in his place and the match continued.
  19. 16 for me, so many other factors involved, twist rate, ammo, distance on range. 18's solid, little long for me, but should work fine.
  20. I shoot a Glock 34 in IDPA and recently added a lightning strike aluminum trigger. Install of course is pretty straight forward with a swap. I didnt really notice anything different. It did seem a little smoother during trigger reset, but not sure if it was worth the money. Anyone else use this trigger? Should I polish this trigger?
  21. Ive been shooting lately on the pro-timer and noticed out to about 10yds and in. I can get away with it and for me its two-10ths faster then on my sights, especially for el-pres. but anything beyond that, or with head shots I cannot afford to do it. For tactically minded individuals (IDPA) where rarely is there anything to far out, I would try to see how target focus works out.
  22. I go to walmart every day, and can never get that deal. Best Ive seen in stock, is $3.99 for a box of 50 at Gander Mountain.
  23. Just wondering why you said it would affect my long gun shooting. I have 20/20 vision, and when Im on my long gun looking through glass it seems that there wouldnt be a change. Iron sites either. Just curious?
