  1. I don't know if they make a DVD-R big enough for that much entertainment!!! It would get far too expensive to record! Thanks for the offer. Seriously, I'm surprised you guys don't go to this match. It's the best thing since sliced bread. I just wish there would be more than one. MT
  2. Sorry Doug, I wish I could shoot with everyone but getting time off work just isn't possible. I just ordered a new DVD camcorder and Rhianna's parents got us a kick @ss Dell multimedia PC for christmas so we'll have to trade some movies. I just hope there's something interesting to watch on our squad......you have all the good entertainment!!
  3. I sure hope ours made it in on time for Saturday!?!?! The PSA is getting to the point that it needs to be 2 weeks long, or every weekend for a month so everyone can shoot! It's insane! I can't wait to get there. MT
  4. I almost always have music jamming while I dryfire! My favorites include: Pantera, Sevendust, AC/DC, Limp Bizkit, and a few others. I don't really do it for drowning out other noise, but more for concentration. Trout
  5. Great job Doug! I'm glad to hear you have a match going now. I'll be there for sure...right after Ron rounds me up.
  6. Yes sir...9.2 with firing pin and extractor. The best part is that was with NO holes in the slide! Ok, well I put 2 in the top in case of future barrel ports but that doesn't count. LOL I have a few pics but I can take more with the digital if you would like. And I would love some Mopar pics! I just found a vid of a twin turbo Cuda running 8's!! But I guess we'll save that for email chat.. hit me up at mtrout40@yahoo.com and I'll send some pics. MT
  7. I can't say I've ever weighed cases or measured volume, but here is some data that may be usefull to you. My load: 124gr RN Montana Gold 1.195 OAL 7.2 grains of IMR 7625 WSP Primer I loaded 100 rounds and picked out 10 WIN and 10 non-WIN to chrono. With Winchester brass, a 10 shot spread was: 1386, 1390, 1385, 1385, 1389, 1391, 1382, 1388, 1387, 1390. With the same load with mixed NON-Winchester brass: 1355, 1362, 1358, 1357, 1365, 1359, 1352, 1357, 1361, 1358. These were mostly RP and Speer with a few military pieces. As a side note, this load is FAR more consistant than anything I've ever shot in super. It may be the load or the new barrel? Another interesting point.... with 7.6 of 7625 and the above specs I averaged a 180 PF with the pistol primers and absolutely no pressure signs. This is out of a 5" coned comp gun with no barrel ports. I also marked one peice of brass so I could see how far I could go with loading it. So far I've loaded it 12 times to the above specs and she's still holding together! As far as the slide cracking issue....we've shot close to 10,000 rounds of the 173 PF load above (along with a few thousand 180 PF loads) with no problems. My slide is about as milled out as it can get, weighing in at 9.1 oz. If any slide should crack it would be mine. Hope that helps you out! MT
  8. Don't you drive a camaro? Your the slow one of the group!! You should have kept the GN!! I'll do my best Bill, besides you probably won't remeber me when you see me anyway!!! HA!
  9. Tearing it up Sunday with BamBam. The stages are pretty cool and somewhat difficult. Lots of hardcover and a handful of no-shoots.
  10. There was a fire alarm!!!?? I missed that one too. Awesome match guys!! From the stages to the staff to the food, everything was awesome. The stages were great and mixed up really well. It's nice too see a match that has a little of everything. It was great meeting a lot of BE'ers at the match and the party. I hope you all can make this an annual thing. Job well done. Thanks for a great time!
  11. Apps are in the mail!! I'm looking forward to the match, and especially the cookout! 3QT, I'll share a few beers for a cigar
  12. Kyle, How did you and Dale do? Big D has been on a roll in L10.
  13. Kay, you guys/gals ROCK! You should do a PSA steel match at least 2 times a year, if not monthly! THANK YOU for the hard work.
  14. Open Auto: Stage 1: 21.85 Stage 2: 16.03 Stage 3: 13.27 Stage 4: 10.80 Stage 5: 14.72 <-ate my lunch! Stage 6: 20.16 Total: 96.83
  15. Wow, thanks for the compliments guys! First and foremost we should all thank the group at PSA for putting on a spectacular match! The RO's and staff did a great job as usual, and most of us can't wait for next year. My match: I shot pretty solid in stock auto with the exception of the last stage. I had a case stuck in the chamber that costed me over 12 seconds with 1 steel left. I would have been sub 100 without that happening. Total was a 113. I shot ok in open, but lost it on the last stage. Popper mania got me with a bad load and a few misses. I can't find my sheet but it should be under 100 for sure. I wouldn't say I have the match won because their were alot of great shooters there. A few mistakes can kill you at a match like this. I'm just happy I only had ONE brain fart! We had great squads that worked hard and had a good time. Mr Benson had a rough start but shot a great match. He's for sure impressive when he's in his grove. You're gun shoots great but it's ugly! DWT shot damn good but had some problems with the glock on one stage. He would have been in the 120's. I got to meet another BE'er, Bill Schwab (sorry for the spelling!). Bill had a rough start too, like all of us, but got on his game later on. He definetely has talent and he showed it hammering on some stages. All in all it was a great experience and I think eveyone had a great time. Adam, I got us hooked up for A7 and A8. I'll email you. Thanks again, Son, or Matt
  16. *BUMP* It's getting close! I can't wait We're shooting Saturday. Not sure what hotel we are at yet. Anyone else going? Flex, Anderson...anyone? Hope to see some of you guys there.
  17. Shot this one yesterday at Greater Pitt.... Limited 58 points 4.76 HF= 12.1849 Hopefully that one moves me out of "paper GM" class
  18. I've only made six attempts in early february at Dale's range. Out of 6 runs, the two best were a 3.26-6 down and a 3.11 with a mike. This isn't something I'm going to practice or spend alot of time dry firing. I'm just going to make some runs at it here and there until it happens. I'm not trying to be first...just want to do it for personal satisfaction! Jake, I've heard from a few people your making great progress. Good luck bud!
  19. Okay...see...I wasn't off my rocker!!! But I'm glad this is turned into a bit of trivial fun!!! Matt - Man, I think you misunderstand me. Push limits. Piss people off. Make people think. Dare. Tell me I can't. When this thread started it wasn't a game. Now that it is a game, that's cool. Hell, I'll try it just to see what will happen. Who knows, maybe I can break or re-write a few of the laws of physics while I'm at it. BigDave, Maybe I did misunderstand you. i thought you were calling us all clowns I apologize for spouting off. SA, Let me hammer a spike in the middle of your spine and see how well you fake it Actually, I've been to the chiropractor at least once a week for 4 monthes. He said I'm in my 20's but my back is in it's 50's. It was a lot worse than I thought it was. Doing well now though, thanks for asking. I'm just a paper GM, you're the author of a book which makes you "Pro"...you get the 2.5 and I get the handicap
  20. Dude, look at your own signature! You want to keep things "light and in touch with reality" but then you have THAT sig! This "circus trick" is not a goal, an achievment, or reality. It's doing something completely pointless to have fun with shooting. I guess my circus "camp" was a little different than yours. Mine said to be all you can be.
  21. I'm game! But non scoring would just be for luck....Since the El Prez is part of the match I say we have to go for it for score or anything under a 3.5 is a 0!!!!!
  22. Steve, dry fire drill racing is like magazine racing...you're dyno might show higher peaks than mine, but what are you doing on the street!?!?! I wanna see live fire baby!!!! FWIW, I dry fire with full mags....... Love ya Anderson
  23. The whole point of our game is putting them all together. The guys at the top of any sport know what it's like to run at the ragged edge of their abilities and are always trying to push that ragged edge higher and higher. They dial it back during competition so that the results will be consistently high rather than occasionally REALLY high and occasionally crashing and burning. I don't think any of this has to do with this "stunt" at all. It's more about breaking away from the practice mentality and just having fun attaining a goal. It's like this. A few of us get together through the week and practice really hard. Usually at the end of our practice sessions we have little bets that go on between people. The last bet on me was that I could not hit a popper, make a reload, and hit that popper again before it touched the ground. It took me a few tries but I did it. Does this have anything to do with a practicing skills to get better? Not really, but it was fun! This is just something to do to break the regular practice routine to have some fun!
  24. Jake, I don't doubt the two of you can pull it off! You both have great talent and the determination to do it! I want to do it only because Mr. Bradley says it can't be done. I'll be the first one on the range with 10,000 rds of ammo to prove it. ( Come on Ray, you know what I mean!!!) The question still remains, how to prove it was done? Do we have to have this on video or can we do it in front of some people and post the results? And why couldn't this be done in the middle of summer? It's freakin 10 degrees outside!! How do you run a 6 second El Prez in 10 degrees?
  25. I'm all over this!! Not from a competition stand point but just for freakin fun! I've done a 3.2 with a limited gun with all the hits. Not great hits of course, but hits none the less. So, what division? And how do we prove this? I don't have a digital camera.
