Jesse, I got DQ'd on Stage 7 before the buzzer even went off because the RO asked me in the howling 30 mph wind to move one step forward instead of saying "load and make ready" like he should have.....I drew my gun to load, he put the hammer down.
Everyone called BS, but there was nothing I could do. $100 arbitration is a bad joke that needs to be changed. Left me with a feeling I was cheated out of time, effort, and money.....
Sorry you got DQ'd,too...
Jesse did you have 3 holes in that target? If there was there is no way you should have been DQ'ed, If there was only 2 it supports the real time issue of them making a call!
-
I got DQ'd at Area 4 yesterday, a real BS call, too. I seriously fumed for a stage, then helped tape and set steel a bit while alternately watching other squads shoot.
I don't blame people for leaving after being DQed, but I do notice and appreciate those that stay and help out.
Same here.,
And, at an hour or so per stage, I can see where folks could easily decide to head out.

Generally, a heavier slide can run with a lighter recoil spring and a lighter slide needs to have a heavier spring.Too little slide mass in major PF guns must be made up with higher spring rates. I had the slide of my Limited gun lightened by an ounce, and I had to increase the spring rate by at least a pound to get the "optimum" recoil characteristics. IMHO, lightened slides are more appropriate in minor PF guns.

Both, that's what I did..
Are you going to be shooting IDPA or USPSA?
-
These grips from CZ Custom might work...
What can I do to get better grip in a CZ-75 without violating the Production rules?
Can I replace the original grip panels for others?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Demetrio.

You can haul your ass to Little Rock on the first Sunday of the Month....USPSA at CASA. casarange.com
Old Fort Gun Club in Ft. Smith has Multigun once a month. THe Benton club shoots an IDPA leaning multigun match occasionally, 3 gun matches take too long to complete, so I rarely shoot one, perhaps someone else will chime in who is more involved....
Hey guys!! New here as well I'm from Jonesboro, AR and am trying to get started in the three gun scene as well as some pistol matches. Theres not alot to choose from around my area except for Memphis. Any help on locations and dates would be much appreciated !!! I hope I have some of my basic gear lined out already but I know that there is always more to learn.

The 9mm mags you want are the newest design Mec-Gar produced magazines. You can order them directly from EAA. They are about $25 a piece. I got some from Midway, also. They have run flawlessly. YOu do not want the magazines with the red follower as they are the old style mags.

I thought it was going to be MFS ammo, which is owned by RUAG,the same company that produces GECO...but the match ammo is made in Hungary....

Even though it's now knocking on the door of being "classic", some Uncle Tupelo (and later Son Volt + some early Wilco)might pique your interest. Even though it's labeled as "alternative country" since they frequently have a punk tinged edge, but they put out some great music..and when they rocked, they really rocked.
Don't forget Waylon
Johnny Cash's American recordings are truly wonderful.
Yes indeed there on both counts.
-
I may be mistaken..as my Match does not have the same thing as my Limited does...
mine says 5 C E ?

I think the mk7 versions with t he interchangeable backstraps actually look better than the original, but damn, they need to hire an Italian or SOMETHING to work on the looks of those things.
I don't think it looks bad at all. I'd be interested in trying one out if STI brings them over.
So what if she is ugly, can she cook?
Production division was designed for the Glock so it is ugly division anyway
-
I thought it was brand new..it's on the IPSC production list....yes, it is ugly. The stupid "X-Calibur" on the side looks terrible too. I'd take a plain slide version, please.
Holy crap that's ugly!
-
I guess the question is..do you see anything that would make it illegal for production?
-
-
If you take the slide off, there is a place inside the frame in front of the trigger with a date code....at least on my Limited
A 09=
Agosto 2009
The two digit code I referred to in an earlier post has nothing to do with the serial number.
Mine is EA55078. Do we know the date on this one?
both mine are like that
ea28226 (witness p)
ea23149 (witness)

Those two examples are the same gun..
The main addition to these over the standard Shadow is the slide has been milled for the adjustable sight.
I'm really considering getting a CZ Shadow, but I really don't understand all the variants between CZ-USA and CZ Custom. I've searched 3 different forums and have really figured it out.
So here's the dumb question...
Is there a difference between these two items:
CZ 75 SP01 Shadow Target
http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/CZ_75_SP01_Shadow/
CZ 75 SP01 Shadow Custom Target
http://czcustom.com/shadowtarget.aspx
Also what magazines work with these? I've seen everything from 16 round to 19 round magazines both factory and Mecgar.

I've never shot an STI in competition.... the recoil on the Tanfo Limited .40 I usually run does seem a bit snappy, but it is very quick back on target. I've found that if I use a strong grip and have my shoulder very forward when shooting, the recoil is easily controlled and I can get quick split times with the gun....I'm just a "B" Limited shooter, though.
I've had the slide lightened, and I run a heavier spring. For a slide with no weight reduction, the 10.75 brings the gun right back on target...
Normally I have been shooting Tanfoglio Lim.Custom 40S&W in IPSC major until the slide cracked.
Its still in for repair/warranty so I had to get something else to shoot. So I got an SVI that I use now.
I like the grip and the triggerpull better on the Tanfoglio. But the recoil is much harder than on the SVI.
Load data is not to far from eachother and same is the PF.
180gr bullets with VV N-32o pouder.
Use Henning 10.75 recoilspring.
Is there anything to do to get the Tanfo to handle more like a SVI when it comes to recoil.
My splits are faster now and a little tighter. Bt precision on Tanfo is good to, just faster tempo with tight hits.
Feedback would be nice... as of now, Im thinking og sticking with the SVI.

mine says CH. and it says 2007 elsewhere on the gun
my 2009 Limited is CD

Look above the trigger guard on the right hand side of the frame for the two letter stamp in the box.

If you just want something for the range, I would bet a regular 16 rnd Mec-Gar witness mag would fit, although it'd stick out far from grip.
My thoughts too but to date no joy...
You might try a Baby Eagle compact mag. It probably won't feed anything but factory ammo, but it might fit.

keep an eye on Gunbroker, there are bound to be some come up for sale.

Solo 1000 works for me...
Trying to find one powder for both my guns. I was going to use N320, but cant find any locally. Have some on order but no idea when I will get it. So I am looking for a backup powder. Bullet weights are as follows:
9mm minor for production XD Tactical 5in MG 147gr cmj
40 S&W major for Limited STI 5in. MG 200gr cmj
Have thought about Hodgdon Clays or Titegroup. Looking for something clean burning as my old powder was N350, and really gunked up the chamber after about 100 rounds. Incomplete burn.

Some cars are more prone to warped rotors than others. It helps to torque the wheel nuts to the recommended value...not have them put on with an air ratchet.
