  1. I don't think I have ever had a advantage by being a S.O.. Matter of fact, I usually shoot worse because I have to think about other shooters, their safety, and trying to "idiot proof" a stage so there are no complications and/or surprises that may arrive during the match.
  2. Glockworx is notorious for disabling or modifying such parts where the safety doesn't work properly. Stay away. Go Vanek!
  3. The Vibrams are very comfortable. Like walking around barefooted but with tread. They are awesome and strengthen your calf muscles and legs.
  4. For STOP...I use STOP. "Nod when your ready" has nothing to do with safety Assumption is the mother of all F ups.
  5. Mixing up commands from other sports is no big deal. I really get annoyed at the more off the wall ones though. It just sounds very unprofessional for a major match and has the potential for confusion by non-native speakers mentioned above. That's especially important for something billed as a world match. I'm not a fan of nod when you're ready, but I've learned to get along. It used to really bug me along with any time they SO waited for me to respond. I'll let you know if I'm not ready, otherwise drive on. I simply don't assume the start position until I'm ready. If it's just a standing start, I leave my hand on the gun until I'm ready to go. I think proper commands really ought to be a/the goal for all of us. I agree. But using different "lingo" doesn't make you a bad S.O. It doesn't hurt your score and the ones who complain the most about it...well...it could only help theirs If Robert Ray didn't say anything to Koski for his...then I am not worried about it. Get over it and shoot or nit pick about it and everyone will remember you on the range and wish you never came.
  6. While I agree there are specific range commands that are outlined in the IDPA rulebook, it's not a drastic event. This doesn't mean you get a re-shoot or anything like that. Some people (including myself) have used the command "Gimme a nod when you are ready" because I don't like asking the shooter over and over again if they are ready. I will let them dictate when they are ready. I mean, you could be anal about it and wait for the S.O. to say "Striker Down" (which is NOT a range command) because you actually do not have a HAMMER with that particular weapon. It's all the same. Just shoot and have fun.
  7. What about the RCBS bullet feeder? It seems to have a cut off switch that the Hornady does not. Anyone here use one of those?
  8. Does anyone actually do this? If so, what are some of the pros/cons of it? Any tips and tricks? 550 or 650?
  9. I've heard too many bad things about this match already. Glad I didn't make the journey or shell out the expense on this one.
  10. I want to see some head cam footage of that fall..lol
  11. Kinda like complaining about a Glock slide plate w/a Punisher Emblem. Obviously a "non-issue" and definately not a advantage but some still rant about it.
  12. They makes cleats that aren't metal. No damage on the floors. Feel free to dance across the room with some..lol
  13. Ahh.... I see now. I must have been looking at Spikecross 3. I didn't see that particular color on website. The others are extremely ugly.
  14. What are they called? Nevermind, they are listed with "Embedded metal spikes" Most definately CLEATS.
  15. WHAT?!! Then who does? lol. J/K Like a poster mentioned before...for a specific sport. He mentioned "extreme trail running". How much more specific do you need? lol
  16. You could wear cleats everyday if you wanted to. Just sayin'
  17. There is only one category for those..FUGLY! Sorry...Im in a humor mood today.
  18. Oh come on now Strick. There is a difference between TREAD and CLEATS. Those honestly look like something I would wear playing softball or something. To a post above: What is extreme trail running? Is someone shooting at you while runnning? Maybe being chased by a Cheetah? lol
  19. Strick, Dude, I think it is obvious when the definition of that shoe is labeled as "cleated" Maybe if it didn't say that, it wouldnt be so clear.
  20. So does that make it a FTDR and not a procedural since you openly admit your gonna break the rules? lol
  21. And on top of that....those are cleats!
