  1. I generally load mine to 3/4 and then add brass. I load brass until it doesn't move as fast. The more you put in the less the media will shake. You should be able to verify when to stop. I also tumble for 2 hours.

    DQ?

After a AD like that, I wouldn't want to finish shooting anyways. I think my mind would be so mushy after the incident that I think it would be safer for me to step back and let it go. I think the main thing here is to not be so concerned about a DQ and be more concerned in how NOT to do that again. Right?
  3. Welp. That clears that up. Thank you.
  4. I noticed that a massive number of shooters at this years Pro-Am were shooting Black Bullets. When I came home, I quized the local shooters and found that most of them use them as well. I guess it is a good bullet and cheap to boot!
  5. For everyday wear, I use a Instructor belt from Wilderness. I use the same in IDPA. I have only used a CR speed belt once and that was just recently at the Pro-Am. It was ok.
  6. My fellow shooters and I always seem to end up drinking ourselfs stupid the night before a match. I guess it is just being away from home and with the guys. There has even been a match where I shot Friday and stayed up all night just to return at the range @ 7:30 to be an RO. ZERO sleep. Then again, I did meet a very attractive waitress that night. I will leave the rest up to your imagination.. I found the more I stay away from the "home crowd" and shoot with a squad of complete strangers...I perform better.
  7. A couple of times in the past the COF was explained that we had to pie the port. I am curious about this because never has the port been bigger than a pizza box. My first thoughts are that there is no need since your body is up to 95% percent covered by a wall of some sort. Wouldn't that be considered "cover"? Thoughts?
  8. Again, Anyone, I know it's just a mag but it's somebody's and not mine. It will just sit on the self for the next 20 years if someone doesn't claim this thing. Bueler, Bueler, Bueler,........ If it has a BLUE floorplate, that would be mine.
  9. I also have a video. It includes some local shooter along with the pros. It also has two stage runs at the end by KC Eusebio and Bob Vogel. Sup Itchy? Enjoy the AC in my truck just before the match end? I enjoyed hanging with you guys and losing money in poker. Chuck, Thanks for running us through the stages. I was with you all day Friday. You pegged me for a IDPA shooter from the get go and let me know about "holster popping". I ALMOST swept you on the very last stage. Heat was getting to me very bad. I shot your open gun as well(Nathan had it)...very cool. http://www.youtube.com/user/hankfan79
  10. I have ordered from Brazos before when I ordered my Trojan. They are great. I just ordered 4 mags for $48.00 each with .99 shipping from Brownells! Whoa! I got lucky. RV MAN: The 9mm rounds don't nosedive in the .38 super mag?
  11. My apologies. Yes it will be the 9mm version w/bushing of course. Thank you for the mag info. Going to order some now. Everyone else feel free to chime in as well. The more I can learn, the better.
  12. Ok so I found that I can get 10rd mags(126mm) through Brownells for $48 a piece with discount. Do the 10rd mags perform well? I prefer high caps but I can settle for 10rd if they perform well. Steel1212: Will those basepads fit into the box? If so, I might as well get some wouldn't you say? cslafrain: Now you got me worried. What are you talking about SPACERS? Dang I hate messing with new guns..lol
  13. I'm sure I can grind it a little. Refinish? Neeaaa I'm sure I can let that slide a little. Thanks for the info. I believe I am going to order about 4 more magazines from Brazos unless I can save a few bucks somewhere else. They are listed as $54.00 each.
  14. The pistol is coming with the factory magwell. I just hope it fits in "the box". It also comes with 1 126mm magazine. I hope this is magwell friendly.
  15. Fellow shooters, I just recently picked up a new STI EAGLE and I am looking for a good place to purchase additional magazines. I have a few questions about this matter. 1. Where is the best place to purchase these price wise along with customer service? 2. Do factory mags need tuning or parts replaced? They will be used strictly for IDPA and never have more than 11 rds loaded at a time. I have done some reading about Grams and I am curious if I should go ahead and replace parts with Grams parts. I want to make sure that they slide DOES lock back when empty. Of course reliability is key here with these magazines. I appreciate any help you guys can offer.
  16. It is just MORE than obvious this is definately and inside person (shooter) or someone who knows a shooter and they are using them as a spotter. Different cars at different locations? DUH! Its a damn shame. I used to think that cars where safe at matches because of the firepower.....NO MORE.
  17. That's a awesome time. Especially when Dave Sevigny has been quoted as saying he averages in the mid to high 60's on the classifier.
  18. I have used this before in SSP many of times. I have never been questioned about it one time, but this is a gray area. I would probably argue about it because it is an INTERNAL modification..not external. To me it would be no difference than adding a plug to the backstrap(which is legal)..BUT! It is PERMANENT. BTW his name is DAN not Dave. He is a local shooter from here in Alabama. I have had it done to my G34(SSP) and my G21(CDP). I assume you are only going to get a TRUE answer if you ask IDPA themselves.
  19. They are. I promise you. Max Michel shot 100% on this stage, with 160/160 points. In other words, every target has a pair of Alpha's in it. And this is much faster that you've ever seen anyone shoot in person: No front sight involved there. Open gun
  20. Mas Ayoob will be there as well as Donnie Burton('07 ESP National Champion)
