  1. Well here's how the PRI tube turned out: Very light and sturdy by the way. If you so wanted there are holds already drilled to add rails. Chris C.
  2. I was thinking that maybe the MD could fork for a keg or two or three or four...... like at DPMS. Just a thought Chris C. ETA: Mammoth Cave is in Edmonson County, and is dry. Hart county to the north is wet and Warren to the south is wet. Both are accessable via MSR 65. Would suggest one to bring his own spirits
  3. It's sure is going to be nice to shoot a match and stay where on the grounds were the match is held. Better bring a gas can for the gun truck. I can't wait!!!!
  4. Here's a story for you guys. I was in the local Wally Superstore standing in line and this lady's kids were unbelieveable. Throwing stuff at each other, getting lippy with mom... just running amuck. My 6 year old son thinks that he's going to join them too. One yank on the arm and a swat on the tail settles that. She turned around a begins to tell me that she can't believe that I would hit a child, bla, bla, and more bla. My reply was "my boy isn't going to turn out like your $*&^ing kids." End of story and I felt good saying it. And another thing if my kid doesn't say yes sir no sir, there will be a smack in the back of the head shortly there after. Burns my ass. The rest of the time I'm a pretty laid back dad. Chris C.
  5. Need a towel to clean the screen off.... Thanks!!!!! Chris C.
  6. If you want a pretty one get a PRI carbon fiber free float tube. But get ready to spend some coin. I wish mine would hurry up and get here!!! Chris C.
  7. Here shooting my friends S&W .460 magnum. I thought the recoil would be alot worse that it was. The impact of the round made a hole in the burm that you could stick you shoe in. I think it shoots at an amazing 2700 fps. Chris C.
  8. Yes, I was using one shot. That stuff works very good and this was the first shell out of maybe 6000 or so that I have loaded. Hopefully the average will hold up. Chris C.
  9. Didn't have one at the time. Called a local gun store and they were out also. Chris C.
  10. OK, let's say you have a case stuck in your sizing die. If you have experienced this it is holy hell trying to get it back out. After about an hour of cussing I called a friend and he gave me a solution. I was told to take the sizing die and stick it in the freezer. I did just that and came back about an hour later. Then put the brass that was stuck in a vise and turned the die with a wrench. Done! Came right out. Wanted to post this just to save all of you a headache. And yes I lube the hell out of my cases. Chris C.
  11. Mall ninja crowd? You simply are beside yourself huh. I know a lot of those guys personally (on LightFighter), and might I suggest you never call them such derogatory names to their face. That website usually stays on top of removing the trolls and fakes. A lot of real world operators and a wealth of knowledge there. I certainly wouldn't want to piss in their corn flakes. +1000 to that. Good folks on LightFighter and for the most part they give it to you pretty straight. Yes a wealth of knowledge there and the whole Cohort bunch are some pretty cool dudes. I gotta make it down for Florida.... Chris C. ETA: I know I am going to get in trouble for this but you could tell them in person. ATS/Lightfighter is located on 41A just north of the main gate at Fort Campbell.
  12. It was dry until we got finished with the match That's right!!!! Chris, being the great and gracious Kentuckian you are will we be having a large beer and bar-b-que event at your house the night before the match? My application is in the mail as well, and I will be donating a bunch of cigars again. Sure, I wouldn't have it any other way. Will it be pork, chicken or both. Should be the regular folks staying at the estate again. Cigars will be nice! Chris C.
  13. Tell code name NEMO he needs some new boots. Those look very heavy. But them again it might help to workout the legs. Chris C.
  14. It was dry until we got finished with the match That's right!!!!
  15. That's what I'm talking about!!!! Chris C.
  16. Old thread.... Being that the season is upon us I'd bring it back up. A little spring training camp: Chris C.
  17. I couldn't find a thread so here it goes. Let's see the youngsters doing there thing. This is my son Drake's favorite AR out of the bunch. Just his size is what he tells me. Easy for him to shoot using a .22 cal conversion kit.
  18. Sorry for the delay. I have been overwhelmed here lately and getting on the forum has been a luxury. OK here's the info on the match hotel: Best Western Lewisport, KY 9040 US Highway 60 W Lewisport, KY 42351-7220 (270) 295-3234 Very close, about 5 minutes from the range. Dining options are very limited. Owensboro Motel 1420 Triplett St Owensboro, KY 42303 (270) 683-8805‎ I for one would like to see Chris Patty stay at this crack house. The review would be outstanding. For those that shoot Open you might want to bring a conceal carry pistol just to be on the safe side. You Heavy Metal guys should be good to go. Also the match resturant is Texas Roadhouse. If you decide to eat there just tell them that you are here for the KY State Multigun and you will recieve a discount. Texas Roadhouse will provide peanuts same as last year. I'll just get twice as many this time. Also there will be reps from Sabre Defense and Brownells there for food and a few suds. I will have already shot the match so I will be for sure. We will also have the same BBQ folks as last year. These guys are over the top!!! Chris Conley
  19. Here's a good long read. The truth about crossfit. I actually found the link on the Lightfighter Forum. No need to start any wars with the comments it's just one guys perspective. http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_articl..._about_crossfit Chris C.
  20. Ya, pretty sure Israeli police. Look at the patch on the hat. I doubt she's a demonstrator though. She looks more like someone who had a loved one in a location that got hit by a suicide bomb and she wants to know if they are alive or dead or mangled... or maybe is frantically asking to go look herself. He's probably diverting his eyes in an attempt to distance/divert his psyche from the pain. It's hard not to empathize. He just happens to be looking up at the time of the photo. My take. That would be my guess also. Chris C.
  21. Yep, same thing happend to me at DPMS last year on the "Zombie" stage. Very reliable bolt gun indeed. Sucks that it was the first stage. Chris C.
  22. The Magpul DVD is very good. I've had it for over a month. It's more of a tactical DVD but there are alot of applications for 3 gun. The drills DVD (#3) has some good content. Chris Costa and Travis Haley really break things down well. I was very pleased and the cinematography is some of the best I have ever seen for a training DVD. It's badass on a 50 inch plasma. Cudos to Magpul, I wouldn't have expected anything less. Now that I gave them a good plug I wish they would send me some free stuff. ETA: Not sure about the ITAR stuff on this though. Magpul might not be exporting it overseas. Might want to check on that jostein Chris C.
  23. Way cool!! I would like to see some night video when the weather warms up. I love the seeing the big flame on the business end. Chris C.
