  1. I'll do that one before I go to the range in the morning. First time I've been since DPMS, and taking a buddy ailing from cancer and never shot a gun before. Can't think of a better way to play around with 3 guns!!!! Chris C.
  2. We'll do. Pretty damn sore after yesterday. Chris C.
  3. GO WITH WHAT EVER YOU HAVE THE MOST CONFIDENCE IN. They should all do the job. I have hunted alot over the years and I try and keep it a game. I've shot alot with a high power rifle, but anymore I'll use my tac shotgun I use in 3 gun and shoot slugs or my muzzle loader. I like the muzzle loader the best because you only have one shot. The way they make them now they are just as accurate as a rifle. Then again I have confidence in both. Make it fun no matter what you do. Chris C.
  4. I knew that couldn't be far off. Good deal! CC
  5. Found this challenge that started yesterday. Combat Crossfit 100 Pullup Challenge. http://combatcrossfitkc.com/ It started yesterday but didn't get a chance to post until this morning. 100 days 5050 pullups! I'm in. Chris C.
  6. +1 to that. Good job Corey! Chris C.
  7. I haven't seen a thread like this so here goes. With deer season starting this weekend in Kentucky I thought this might me a good idea to post pictures of your trophies. Mods if this topic is out of line please delete. Chris C.
  8. I zeroed at 100 and it was fine at 300. I think Benny Hill made a post a while back and he zeros his at 200. I myself have had no issues and have shot mine out to 387 yrds and the 400 hash was good. But I load mine kinda hot. That's what my barrell likes. Chris C.
  9. Lee, when you shoot a match you'll understand why. Most of the time I put the 100 yard dot on the plate at 200 yrds and your still good. I can understand using it if you where shooting 4 inch plates @ 200 then it would be handy. At 300 it's dead on and for the up close stuff (head shots) I use the 2nd hash mark down and it hits dead center of the A zone using a SPR-E mount. I like the reticle because there is enough info in there to process fast and not too much to lock up you hard drive. Good stuff for the money! Chris C.
  10. Understood. I'll do that tonight. Thanks dudes. Chris C.
  11. Xre, I'm eating good man. I really watch my diet and staying away from the junk. I ate a big sandwich, 2 pickles, banana, a yogert, 3 multigrain bars, and some almonds during the 4 hours before doing the WOD. I did start feeling better after I ate a big salad. I'm working night shift also and I'm pretty tired. Maybe that has something to do with it. Yeah I knew I was suppose to do some pullups too. Some one ripped the bar off the wall here at work. Chris C.
  12. I take it "Ralph" is a new one. 26:17 and I had to sub the rings with dips. 5X 21 dips and 21 burpees. My arms are still shaking. Chris C. ETA: Here lately I have been getting light headed, weak and feel a little dizzy about 2 hours after the WOD. Feels like my body just dumps out on me. Is there something that I can do to avoid this? I hate feeling this way. Chris C.
  13. Good job Jane. Throw some Crossfit in there and you'll be ready for some serious "outlaw" 3 gun! Alot of running. Matt Burkett has a good video on just the AR with some good dry fire and live fire drills. I just got done with "Ralph" and can't hardly move now. Chris C.
  14. That would be alot of fun. A friend and I where talking about doing one a couple of days ago. First one I shot was at DPMS this year and I like it. Chris C.
  15. this isn't illuminated though right? I just called they said they didn't have any.... I don't think that they sold them all in one day. I was there about 5 hours ago. Ask to talk to Darrell. You might have to wait a minute because everyone wants to talk to Darrell. My box says. Euro Diamond 1x-4x-24mm XTR 5.56 Matte Black. Chris C.
  16. I got the same email.. Ticks me off too, because I called this morning to change the shipping method and they told me it had already been packed and processed for shipping. So, then I call back just now and they tell me that it has shipped. So, I ask why I got this message? The guy says, I am not sure but your order has been shipped. So I ask, how do you know if you don't even know who I am? After a few moments of silence, he asks for my order number... I tell him and he says, "Oh. Your order is on back order." Well, I just ordered it from Whittakers per Chris' post. I went ahead and got the illuminated one. I had to pay $10.00 more for using a credit card. At least I know they had it because the lady said she was looking right at it. I have done many $1000's of dollars worth of business with SWFA (I bought 100 Leupold Scopes for the Darwin Foundation in Ecuador through them several years ago, not to mention my own personal scopes) without a single issue. This ticks me off! You got the same one the XTR from this other guy? I might call them too then. They're good folks out there. They will take care of you. Chris C.
  17. I was just out to my local "gun mall" and Whittakers has the Euro Diamond with the XTR reticle for $459.00. 270-229-0140 and they have 4 instock. Chris C.
  18. Good deal Now you just have to do is find out what mount you want. Chris C.
  19. OK so thats the euro diamond not the xtr-14 What the heck is thing hanging off it? Will it take a few seconds off my score?? Let's a shooter go from 1x to 4x in about a second. So you can shoot the hoser stuff and go to 4x shoot some long range and if need be back to hoser mode. Usually there will be some time during the transition to allow you to do this. I made mine but it was a massive pain in the ass. Everything has to be perfect. Chris C.
  20. Scope and mount picture. Not professional but you get the idea. Chris C.
  21. What are you guys mouting these babies on the larue spr I had kind of taken for granted that I would use the SPR until i saw the price 219 seems awfully steep for a small chunk of metal.. Now I have to go look at the euro diamond. See what thats all about. The one I saw today came with mounts. Some pretty hefty looking mounts, already on the tube. Each side of the ring had 3 hex screws on it....I wouldn't worry about those suckers breaking. When I looked at them on SWFA, the version with the fast fire has the rings included in the pic. The plain version does not. So, I am assuming the rings come only with the XTR and FastFire combo. One thing about mounts like those (nice mounts by the way) is that I couldn't get the scope far enough forward for me. The Burris has great eye relief and I just had to get it out there so I get the same cheek weld everytime. I shoot with my nose on the charging handle so it just works better for me. Here a pic of the mount, scope, and the big nose. Chris C.
  22. 55's @ 3100 or so are good to go as long as there isn't a stiff wind. Chris C.
  23. I am not sure how worthwhile it is to look for that reticle. I read that it was calibrated with a certain grain weight and everything. I get the feeling that if you use any other type of ammo that it wasn't calibrated with you will be off a bit.. If I am wrong feel free to correct me.. If you load your own you can tune the load to the reticle. I think the reticle is for a 62 grn bullet traveling @ X feet per second. I can look if you want me to. Chris C.
