  1. +1 on the egw kit, did it to my dan wesson and now have a safe trigger pull of 2.4 pounds average, downside the lighter hammer spring causes a bit of creep, luckily I slap the trigger anyways so it's a non issue
  2. That's what I thought too, slide stop thumb rests are just too far back for me, if I can't have frame mounted then I just don't use one
  3. Sounds awful for comfort, awesome for shooting matches
  4. It's one if the hydra p variants, not sure which one, I wanna say the original p was cut way lower than the p+, I was seriously considering adding a thumb rest to one of my 2011s until I saw the lack of holsters available with level 2 retention for 3 gun
  5. Ive also been looking around and came up empty. The ghost hydra p is about the closest I've seen, it's got a typical race gun style lock and doubt it'd be easy to lock while on the move in 3 gun
  6. I think you said the best possible thing of just get used to being in the heat
  7. I've found high intensity interval training works pretty well combines with weight lifting. By that I mean specifically sprints, I like to change it up from a 1 minute all out run, rest for a 1 minute, do this 3 times. Knock it down to 30 seconds and 30 seconds rest, do this 3 times. Then knock down to 20/20 for 3 times. I guarantee you're whooped by the end of it. It's great for conditioning work.
  8. If you're not roll sizing all of your brass I would suggest dropping the average oal, I had to in my 2011s and have stuff ranging from 1.12-1.14 range and works fine
  9. Sipping some cheap Kentucky bourbon as we speak, gotta save money somewhere after being wildly irresponsible with handguns this year
  10. 2nd this , mbx is the gold standard
  11. I had an odin adjustable on my 308 AR I never could get to run correctly either, I wound up going back to non adjustable and everything works fine, however I don't shoot it suppressed much. Could be possible the gas block isn't centered over the gas port hole and with the suppressors added pressure it works but without the added umph the pressure isn't there to lock it back.
  12. Either a Dan Wesson pointman 45 or my springfield operator I've had for years.
  13. You might check to be sure the adjustable gas block screw hasn't worked its way loose, after that I'd replace the gas rings. Easy method I've been taught to check them is set the bcg on a hard surface bolt head down on the surface and bolt rotated out to the max length it'll go, after setting it on the table if the bolt recedes into the carrier under its own weight then the gas rings are bad.
  14. Blue alpha loop back inner belt and ratchet attachment for my outer solved that problem
  15. Hopefully you have a good sturdy belt! My open 2011 weighs in at 57oz unloaded and that's more than enough for me
