Increasing stock2 gripability

so it did exactly what I was looking for. Gave my thumb more purchase and fixed my awkward grip in that area I think with the loks and he unica I’m on to helping out my grip

Any chance someone could weigh a flat safety and a single side safety? There's got to be some weight savings there.

Next time I tear down my gun I can pull the ambi part of my stock safety and weigh that and the flat

What you want is a frame with sharp checkering, and aggresive grip panels like the Lok G10.  Getting a frame with good checkering is most important.

 

or just buy a Shadow 2.

I didn’t like the shadow 2 when I handled it. It made my stock 2 feel like a glock in the weight department.

My stock 2 is 45oz (unloaded). I didn't feel any difference when I handled a shadow 2. I'm still not a fan of the latter's DA.

I was at an area match last summer with my tweaked out Stock ll. I saw a fellow competitor with a Shadow 2. I asked if I could handle it. I tried pulling the DA and thought a safety was on or something. I couldn't pull it back.  I asked him if I needed to insert a mag or something.  The pistol was stock and he said he needed to work on the DA. Damn the DA was hard, hurt my finger. Made me appreciate my Tanfo.

I also found the stock shadow 2 da to be heavy. I could have bought it but I passed on it

But, just like tanfos, with work they get light.

The shadow 2 DA can be lighten with changing springs (hammer spring, trigger return spring) is from what I heard, beside polishing. It's not the heaviness that I didn't like, it's like the accu shadow, the DA breaks in middle or something, the pull isn't consistent and smooth unlike tanfo.

I cant figure out if extended mag catch from Unica is legal in Prod , any ideas?
