Ck867
I can't seem to find the right allen wrench to remove it? Is it an allen head or something else for the screw? My screw doesn't kinda appear to be stripped from the factory...
DKnoch
Yes its an Allen head screw. The correct size Allen wrench comes with the gun in the case
Ck867
I searched the whole box and I can't seem to find one. My screw appears stripped from the factory. The allen key that I believe that is suppose to fit it is unable to grab anything since it looks rounded.
Trader
I did not find any Allen key in the box but I did find one that fit.
alma
The #2 metric seems close. I think can't find a perfect fit.
Shrek1
I had one that worked perfectly, however couldn't figure out the size, email sig Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
CHLChris
I'm confirming metric. I can't recall which one I used, but once you have a metric set, it is the second or third smallest (at least in my set). As @alma says, 2.0 sounds right. Ck867
The weird part when I started this post is that #2 was the closest one but it still didn't find mine correctly. I'm pretty sure mine was stripped from the factory. I ended up just drilling it out.
CHLChris
There was a guy at my local level 1 match, shooting an X-Five in CO, who still had the magwell on it. When I asked him about it, he just said, "Oh, the screw is stripped out." As if that meant he was able to shoot with it. That sounds like a fun excuse, though... His experience, though, made me very careful when loosening the screw with the metric allen. I made sure it was really well-seated before torquing it lefty-loosey. Jetskidawg
I removed mine with 5/64". Fit perfectly. The screw is installed with loctite blue so it takes a little encouragement to get it started. Went to a Sig forum to find the size wrench to use as it's not in the factory info. RangeRat309
I used a Torx 8. Fit like a glove.

Mine were also 5/64”. Be careful tightening and loosening it, it’ll strip easily.
