Magpul 40 rounders?

Noticed that Magpul has 40 round Pmags (not an extension) in their 2010 catalog. Did anyone see any of those around, or are they following standard Magpul procedure and releasing them ~1 year after announcing them?

Yeah.....when they come out....imagine the 58 round magazines you can all have!!! :roflol:

In a couple of more years, we should be able to have about a 237rd mag that we can monopod off of while standing :roflol:

Soon after they come out, I will have a 58.

Which will be fine until you've got to go prone. :surprise:

That's where Magpul's next invention comes in, the AFG-BW (advanced fore grip - body worn). This larger version of the AFG is two feet long and stands 18" high. It is designed to be mounted on a chest rig picitiny rail. When using the AFG-BW, if the shooter goes prone, the wedge shape tilts his upper body upwards and stabalizes it in a raised position allowing proper monopoding off of straight bodied magazines up to 95 round capacity. It may sound kind of novel, but the physiological approach to the supination of the spine should lead to a more natural comfortable shooting position. As a bonus, if used for long periods of time, such as in a sniper overwatch role, the shooters legs go completely numb making for a more comfortable watch period.

AWESOME!!!! I hope they make it in OD green. I'll bet there's and adjustable stop on this with a real positive lock, you know......... to accommodate changes in my belly when I've had a big lunch or when I'm wearing body armor. Do you know if EVERYTHING below the waist goes numb when in the prone for prolonged periods? I can't wait baby..........I'm GTG.
