Safariland 773 vs. 771

see if any local shooter uses the ready tact mag holders and try them out..i've used both the ready tact and safariland 771's/773's and like the ready tact better for idpa..and the 771's/773's for L10,because of the adjustments..

if using for IDPA ..remember the holder has to be 10% of verticle of the ground..see pgs 36 and 37 of rulebook

Hello: I use the 771's for single stack since they release easier and smoother than the 773's for me. I just use a Unkle Mikes double mag holder for my 1911's in IDPA. Hope this helps and welcome :cheers: Thanks, Eric

i cracked my old 771 and replaced it with 773. i like the 771 open front but sometimes i my magazine basepad and the mag falls out.

Now its cracked im forced to use the 773 which seems to not affect my reloading at all. Plus mags have not fallen as of now

I prefer the 773 for P14 mags; they are a much better fit.
