I'm trying to set up my XL650 for 9MM. Per the manual I was threading a Lee U die in station 1. The die is to short to thread all the way to the shell plate. Am I doing something wrong?

Try putting the lock nut on the underside of the tool head.

Just use one of the Dillon nuts from the other die,

use as if its a Dillon die works like stock- because its

thiner that the Udie nut!

+1. This is what I did. The "U" die nut wouldn't allow me to lower the die far enough but the Dillon nut does.

I took out the rubber O ring and turned the locking nut upside down and had enough thread that way. The locking nut is only threade about half way.
