  1. I got lucky and scored an STI Lawman in 9mm on clearence for $999. I achanged the paint scheme to all black GunKote and replaced the sucky (IMHO) grip safety. She runs like a top and is crazy accurate.
  2. Well I wasn't able to find any N320. I did however find an 8# jug of WSF locally along with some Extreme 124 RN plated bullets. Hard to find any data on this combo. Any help will be appreciated.
  3. Good to see the WST loads as that is what I like in 45acp. Thanks Guys.
  4. A few years back I was reloading primarily for my Glocks. I was using 4.2gr of N320 and 124gr MG FMJ's. Fast forward 3 years and Santa brought me a new Dillon 550. I will be loading again for my Glocks but I have also aquired 2 Warren Springfield 9MM 1911's. I was wondering if a certain weight bullet is better than another for a 1911. I am about to order a csae of MG 124gr FMJ's again for the Glocks. I assume that I will be good to go with these in a 1911. However if the 147gr will be a better fit I can certainly order some of them as well. I have not been powder shopping for a few years as well and am not sure what I will be able to find. Any help will be appreciated. I plan to set up the press today and start looking for powder in the next few days.
  5. Thanks for the info Gents. I'll stick with SPP's
  6. I have noticed some shooters are using small magnum pistol primers for Idpa and USPSA 9MM loads. Please help educate the ignorant. Is there an advantage to be had using magum vs regular small pistol primers. I only reload 9mm on my 650 and my loads are used for practice and will be used in match's this season. All I have ever used in the past has been N320 powder, MG 124gr RN, Winchester or Federal small pistol primers and usually Winchester or Federal cases. Am I missing out on something.
  7. How about a Hybrid? Glock 30 frame with a G36 top end. I know of a few people using this setup with great success. That being said, I carry a G19.
  8. Let me know if I can help. No reason you crazy Cannucks shouldn't have good sights.

  9. Would it be legal for them to ship to me in Wa. State and then I can send it to you?

    Holster for P30

John Ralston at 5ShotLeather is making some amazing leather gear for this pistol.
  11. Fairly new to reloading. I have a 650 and have loaded aprox 4K 124gr MG with 4.1-4.2 gr N320. I have found that my new G34 seems to like 147gr bullets. I picked up a few hundred 147gr XTP's at the gun show on the cheep side. Looking for a load with OAL that will comfortably make 130-135PF out of a G34. I have seen a few loads at 3.5-3.6 grs of 320 but no OAL was mentioned. Any help will be appreciated.

    RTF G34

I don't believe the G34 was ever offered in an RTF version. If so, I'll go find one.

    RTF G34

I purchased a RTF G17 this week as I really like the extra grip it provides. Would it be legal in SSP to use a G34 top end on this frame?

    686 or 625

Thanks guy's, I have decided to just get both. I think I'll get a 627 as well a few months down the road. I can't believe that I did not get into revolvers earlier, they are allot of fun I have found.

    686 or 625

I'm looking at dabbling in revolver for IDPA, Steel, USPSA. I have little to no experience with revolver shooting or competition with one. I would like to pick something up and give it a try before investing allot of money. I would like to purchase a revolver that if I find I like shooting it enough that I could have it modified as my skill improves. You insight will be appreciated.
  16. Dave Helton is in FedWay. He primarily builds 1911's but I have seen a few of his personal wheel guns that look and feel fantastic. dvsmallarms.com
  17. Is this pistol IDPA legal? If so, would it be in ESP? I just picked one up on the used market and really like it. So much so that I think I'll order another.
  18. I'll be following this thread as I just picked up a new/used M1 Tac/Sport model. I took a defensive shotty course using an 870 Police Magnum, could not keep up with the Benelli's in the class. I decided then if the opportunity presented itself I would pick one up. Can't wait for the weekend to ring it out. Mine has a factory extended mag tube but no pistol grip stock. Just what I was hoping for.
  19. I have an opportunity to purchase either of these shotty's. The M1 Tac/Sport is in easily 98% condition and fired maybe 100 rounds for $825. The M2 is in the same condition with a pistol grip which I really don't care for at $900. Both of these belong to a friend who I know is anal about the care of his gear. I really prefer the looks and feel of the M1. Are either of them more desirable or better quality? I'm mainly interested in possibly 3 gun comp or taking defensive shotgun courses. Just want to make sure that the M2 is nor head and shoulders a better gun than the M1. Any guidance or opinions would be appreciated.
  20. They sure have jacked up the price since my last order. I'm a capitalist pig myself but come on 25%. That being said I'm about to order another set of parts. Good for you Apex.
  21. I have heard the Rock River 9MM's were quite accurate. Only way to get one now is on the used market
  22. I'm liking 4.2gr of N320 and MG 124gr RN at 1.40 OAL. I'll probably switch to Titegroup for half the cost when I run out of N320. I'm also going to try some Bear Creek boolits.
  23. My Wilson is set up for both 9MM and 38Super. It started out as a 38Super CQB and was won on auction at GunBroker NIB for $1700. I had the pistol shipped directly to Wilson for a 9MM barrel and a gold bead front/plain black rear. I had wanted a 9mm 1911 for a very long time but was leary as I had heard horror stories about them not running reliably. I did my homework by asking members on the different forums that had mentioned owning a Wilson in 9mm and not one of them had a bad thing to say about theirs. I received mine back from Wilson about 10 days ago and have tried at least 8 different loads including my reloads and it has not missed a beat and has been quite accurate. The test target was fired at Wilson using a 124gr XTP over 4.2gr of Titegroup.
  24. Not sure which is the most accurate, however I would be interested seeing one more accurate than my Wilson CQB. The test target is litterally one very tight ragged hole.
  25. Thanks Pezco. The accuracy load Wilson uses for the 9mm is a .124gr XTP with 4.4gr Titegroup. Not sure what the OAL is but should have the pistol and test target by Tues.
