Nothing fancy, very few mods, just things that work. My first gun is a KJ Works (KJW) Para 14.45. I picked this up used on eBay ($120)(came with 4 mags). The propane adapter was $15 (TAG Propane Adapter & 1oz Silicone Oil http://www.airsplat.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=GG...amp;eq=&Tp= ) My timer is a CED 4000 (no longer made). Next up, I purchased a Tokyo Marui Hi Capa 5.1. G17 clone on Ebay and a G34 (KWA) from Extreme Airsoft here in San Diego a few weeks ago, plus 3 spare mags for each. Biggest problem is cleaning up the BB's that inevitably bounce off the cardboard on occasion. The G34 clone stands in for my G35 and the G17 clone for my G22 comp guns. Here's a pic with "real" on top and Airsoft on bottom. I'm using cardboard boxes with taped-on targets and looking forward to using a BAM Airsoft Texas Star and 16ga steel plates (mounted on my own baseplates that are remotely reset using RC model servos) that are on the way now. The G34 clone fit my Ghost holster fine, the G17 needed some slight filing of the trigger guard. Both mags are a loose fit in my double mag pouches. I'm going to add grip tape to the Airsoft clones to better match the feel and grip of my comp guns. I've always been fascinated by the videos of Japanese Airsoft shooters, the matches they have, the quality of guns they're shooting which seem to make most of what we have look basic indeed, the skill level they've developed with those guns. Given the immense number of rounds they must fire, I can only assume they've upgraded every plastic valve on the gun that could possibly break to a steel part. Given the fact that they apparently have absolutely no problem with dumping mags on concrete during a speedload, I can also only assume they've upgraded the mags to steel floorplates and steel feedlips. I've always thought it would be fascinating to get my hands on some of the really top-end Japanese Airsoft guns for article purposes. But how to get them? Most of the top Japanese Steel Challenge shooters opt for form over function. Most asian countries and regions prefer guns like mine. Hong Kong and Taiwan and the real hot spots for the guns we like. Both of my main airsoft guns are completely made of cnc'd steel and aluminum, designed by me. The operating systems are the only things that really separate them (Tokyo Marui; Western Arms; KSC). So most of the upgraded guns your will see with be in these formats. shooterx10 Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) These are ready out of the box Western Arms SV Infinity gas blow back pistols. The Infinity with the Schuemann comp is the cheapest way (in my opinion) to an open pistol. The Infinity Expert is my Limited pistol. Both have the stock ABS slides and run on duster gas.
