Jim Norman
After about 30 years I can no longer remember the exact year or day I quit. It was in August, I think. I got up one morning, crushed my nightstand pack, went downstairs and crushed a carton. Then I announced LOUDLY that I had quit and only a fool would smoke. I had no choice but to keep it up. After about a year the desre was largely gone, except on rare occasion when a thin tendril of fresh smoke would hit me. When I quit cigarettes were about $0.70 a pack. I can't imagine smoking today at $7.00 a pack! So congratulations on quitting. Think of all the guns and ammo you can buy with that money that would have just gone up in smoke. carter300
Almost 2 months for me, since last smoke. I did it with help from Chantix. Cravings have really slowed down, the ones that do, quickly pass.

Kyle O
Coming up on ten years for me, being smoke free that is. Now, I'm the cigarette police, sometimes I feel kinda like a nazi.
schmitz
I am free! So are you Don. Good for us! I am free thanks to this forum...Mr. Merlin Orr triggered something, somewhat, somewhere...in summertime... the rest is under the searchbutton! I quit this nasty habit, but I don't judge them who are smoking!
Dan Hefta
That is awesome!! I lost my Dad twenty four years ago to lung cancer, he was a 3 pack a day Ironworker. All the welding and other crap didn't help either. Keep it up!
