thomas223
I wanted to know if anyone has had work done by Jim milks when he worked for EGW? Jim is on his own at innovative custom guns and I am looking for a gunsmith to fit a STI trubor barrel to a new slide and frame.

speculatorking
Jim built me a steel gun about a year ago. I was very pleased with it. He built me a 2nd steel gun that is being shipped to me today.

bpowe
No kidding, Dan does good work. I have one of his shorty's he built for me before he gained ultimate gun plumber status. I wouldn't trade it for a spotted pup! Bill
luckylager
What's your lead time Dan? I'm looking to have one of my super guns rebarreled to 9 major.
HSMITH
Dan does really nice work, worth the wait, and waiting for Dan isn't nearly as painful as some other smiths. Dan is on a VERY short list of guys that I would trust to work on my own guns.
Chuck Anderson
To answer the OP's question, yes I had a couple guns built by Jim when he was at EGW and the work has always been top notch. Many of the smiths that used to work for George have gone on to start their own shops and are some of the names in the business now that are top notch. A recent email to George about doing some work prompted his response that he is forwarding all the gunsmithing to Jim to do. That is a pretty good recommendation in my book. Bill Schwab
I have a slew of guns (1911's and revolvers) that Jim built for me while at EGW, and not only are they works of art but they also run flawlessly. I've met Jim a few times and he's a super nice guy. http://innovativecustomguns.com/
