  1. If you want Accu-rails, Doug Jones is the way to go. If you want to weld up the frame rails, Jim Milks of Innovative Custom Guns is the ticket. The accu-rails will have a faster turn around time. I've used both methods and have been very happy. http://www.acc-u-rail.com http://www.innovativecustomguns.com
  2. That's what Hyperinflation in Zimbabwe produces.
  3. The mag base pad sticks out about .25" past the magwell. The problem I have is the two small setscrews that hold the magwell on keep coming loose. Even after using some loctite.
  4. Does anyone know if the RCBS Powder expander funnel will work in a Dillion Powder measure? I know you can use the Mr. Bullet Feeder Powder funnel however it's around $40. The RCBS funnel is $10. They both have the little step before the funnel shape portion of the expander. The step expands the case deep enough to hold the bullet and prevent bullet tipping when using the bullet feeders.
  5. A sleeping baby is a good baby. I have a 13 month old daughter
  6. The Caspian locking ambi is a good fix for the problem. The new ones are a bit more oversized and need some fitting. I got one of the earlier ones and I have had some problems. It was a a little mushy and when I would click down the right lever, the left side wouldn't always go down all the way. With the new ones you can feel the safety click down nice on both sides. Wilson also sells a locking ambi safety (Bullet Proof) that is very good. The price is about $160 vs the Caspian at $75.
  7. Spangler, perhaps I am in denial, anything is possible
  8. I don't know about this "Lord" business but Kevin is a hell of a nice bloke. I wouldn't have minded getting there a few days sooner but being a Newlywed isn't the reason why I can't. I needed to save some of my vacation days for somewhere to go with the wife later. I'm already starting to get grief when I want to go shooting on a weekend that isn't one of my "Regular" weekends to shoot. Didn't use to be this way
  9. Kevin I figure I at least owe you a beer or 6 for all the "help" you've done for me, getting my open gun together and breaking it in. Even though I know you don't care for 9mm, my gun shoots awesome and is a hell of alot better then what I competed with before. We are flying in monday afternoon staying at the match hotel. I will be there with my buddy Big Bryan
  10. I will be there. My first Cup was in 2010. Looking forward to meeting Action Pistolero

  12. Here is another option for a MK III 22/45 http://www.tech-custom.com/
  13. +1 on the Metalform 9 round 9mm mags. I have put many thousands of rounds through them. I wouldn't use anything else.
  14. These base pads should work on your mags if you are using ToolGuys prone pad. I use them on the Metalform mags and they fit. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=24799/Product/BASE-PADS-FOR-7-ROUND-MAGAZINE
  15. After I put a VQ extractor in my MKIII 22/45 I can't remember the last time I had a jam. My gun loves CCI SV ammo. Super fun to shoot.
  16. The ambi on my Springfield's would give me problems too. Especially when I would try to engage the right side with my week hand. I now use the Caspian internal locking ambi safety. They work great. http://www.caspianarms.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CAL&Product_Code=R161AB&Category_Code=R16
  17. I have the Caspian locking ambi safety on 2 of my Springfield 1911's. They work great. I had problems with the stock SA ambi as well.
  18. If you want to see a different type of vampire movie check out "Let Me In".
  19. The folks at Volquartsen told me they would have an extended safety out fairly soon (45 days), this was a month ago. Not sure if it will be an ambi.
  20. What is the factory recoil spring weight for the 9L
  21. Federal primers are the softest then I believe Winchester. Not sure about CCI. I have a 2 pound trigger on my steel gun, and was getting light strikes with some rounds I loaded up with Wolf primers. I put in a Dawson extended length firing pin and never have had a problem since.
