G-ManBart
I just have to mention something I saw today that reminded me how great the people are in our sport. My buddy Damon (NM3gnr here) was shooting a stage today at the HDC and simply forgot to engage a popper that wasn't clearly in your vision when you entered the port. Other people did the exact same thing, but one of them was luckily saved by range failure when the wind knocked down another popper. From either the RO or scorer's position the view of the popper was blocked by the wall. As the RO was walking along scoring he stopped, looked at the popper, got a strange look on his face and said "did you engage this popper?". Big D said something like "No RO, I did not...I'm not going to lie". While it didn't surprise me in the slightest, it made me proud to call him a friend. I know a LOT of other people would do the same, but it's nice to be reminded once in a while. Here's to big D and all the other great, honest folks in our sport Edited June 7, 2009 by G-ManBart
Pat Miles
I have to echo the same opinion of Damon. Shooting with him in the past he is honest to a fault and humble as well. I too am proud to call him a friend. CYa, Pat

RangerTrace
Damon is a good guy. He couldn't save me at the DTC, but he was a lot of help at Space City. I've met a lot of "top shelf" people through USPSA and this site
High Lord Gomer
We had several (read: waay too many) people on our squad at South River near Atlanta call their own FTEs today. That 46 round stage made it hard to remember where you were. I got to shoot with a really fine group of people there.
eak
That is awesome, he will be a better shooter for that. These type of people are the backbome of our little sport.
