Nemo
I'll be in Tucson from next Sunday to Fri the 20th. Anywhere to go shoot during the week after work hours? Dunno if I wanna travel with firearms to have 'em sit in a hotel room all week but I'd bring my hearing protection and go as a spectator... Stage 3
I know this isn't shooting related, but if you like aircraft go to the Pima Air Museum near the Air Force Base.
xcelr8hard
Not sure what kind of hours you are keeping, but there is a steel match Thursday night in Phoenix (about 1 1/2 hrs away). Match sign in is 5:30-7:00. I am considering going to this match, you are quite welcome to come along. I have not been to this match before but I am on vacation that week, and thought I would go and check it out. http://www.phoenixrodandgun.org/ Butch
Thomas Moore
If you like to take pictures, I suggest you do what a coworker of mine did and go to Flickr and type in Tuson and you'll see all kinds of stuff. He found a Native American Mission near Tuson and had an authentic Native American taco. There is also some hiking in he area.
fiddler
The Kitt Peak National Observatory is worth a look. http://www.noao.edu/kpno/ You'd have to scare up a car. If you are truly without transportation I recommend whiskey. Roy

Keninaz
Nemo, Not too much night shooting on a regular basis here in Tucson. Sometimes Pima Pistol Club will have night shoots but mostly diring the summer months when the Wx is better. Marksman's Institute has 2 indoor ranges that are open in the evening. Most of the IPSC/IDPA clubs shoot outside on the weekends. On the 3rd Sunday, PPC has an IPSC match at 0800. Tucson Rifle Club at Three Points has a IPSC match on the 2nd Sunday. There might be a IDPA match on Saturday at Pima Pistol. Tuesday evening steel at Rio Salado up in Phoenix is worth doing if you have the time/transportation. PM me if you want more info. markcic
There are weekend shoots on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays. If you flew out on the Friday the 13th there is a large match in Yuma that you might be able to get into http://www.yumamatchmasters.com/practical_division.htm If I can actually have a free afternoon I might head up to shoot Tuesday night steel in Phoenix and could give you a ride up.
