M109R
Does anyone have any data for 160g cast round nose in the 9mm for production?
The_Vigilante
Just curious, where are you buying 160g LRN?
twodownzero
I wouldn't mind trying a 160 grain bullet in 9mm myself. I bet it'd be like shooting a cap gun. I also think S1000 is too fast for that heavy a bullet. Try something slower.
Greg Bell
I seem to recall that JoeD has played with heavy 9mm, might want to send him a PM
Joe D
2.7 gr of Solo 1000 with a 160 Bear Creek RN. OAL is 1.135". 128-130PF. It is a real wrist breaker. I am now looking for a 180 gr RN. The 160 gr load is almost as soft as my 180 gr .40 load.
revchuck
I've got 3k+ .38 caliber 158 grain Rainier RNs that've been sitting around. Once I've loaded the regular 9mm bullets I have, I'm going to give them a try. My main concern is that I may have to load them too short due to the ogive shape. The_Vigilante
Thanks for the link. I don't have any Solo 1000 and haven't seen any around at the local shops. Wonder what the equivalent load would be for VV N320? Just curious, where are you buying 160g LRN? Check out http://www.billybullets.com/Bullets.aspx?C=9mm Stay Safe, A.T. Joe D
Billy Bullets are too high. They are a good bit higher than Bear Creek.
