Last time she did Piestowa Peak and really liked it. Thats about max in difficulty for her to still have fun but let me know whats good ... Generaly in the Mesa/Scottsdale area .. SOuth Mtn, Camelback, Piestowa Pk., Picacho Peak (near Casa Grande), and in the Four Peaks area. There are many more but these just popped into my head. badchad Posted January 6, 2009 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Camelback is good but if it's a weekend it can be difficult to find a place to park. “Tom’s Thumb” is a good out of the way hike in the McDowell mountains. dbagwell Posted January 6, 2009 Share Posted January 6, 2009 I highly recommend the hiking trails at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The trails north of Bell Rd. are very scenic.
