I run a 6" STI in .40 for Limited, and a beat up old STI in 9 by 23 in Open...and a Commander slide on a STI frame in 9 by 23 for a carry gun. Same grip, same mag release (heck, same mags ), same trigger...the only difference is the Tritium sights and the slightly narrower ambi safeties The STI platform is safe enough to run at warp speed (well, for me it is more like warped speed) and reliable enough to win...
