lmccrock Posted October 5, 2008 Share Posted October 5, 2008 My squad still has the standards stage. Glad we get to do that first thing, and not last stage (like gmshtr's squad yesterday). Although I am not sure the sun will cooperate; it will be low over the berms and there may be some shadows. Shooting the shotgun slug stages has not been as bad as I thought. Next time someone says that slugs do not shoot well from an 1100, I know to tell them to use Federal low recoil. A bit hotter than Remington, but they shoot straighter. The Standards Stage would've been cooler as a small 3 position field course Yes, but time comes into play. Without a time limit, some of us will shoot until we get the hits, and that can take a while, and squads will back up.
