Showclear
Thanks for the link! These pictures are unreal. I spent an hour on that site. Huge library and I just scratched the surface. Rich
Steve J
What is most amazing are the actual photographs like yesterday's of the Perseus Cluster. 250 million light years away, so if my non-scientific mind understands the concept correctly, we are seeing the Perseus Cluster as it existed roughly 250 million years ago. Amazing.

ArturoJ
Todays picture was taken from Kitt Peak. If you ever get down to Tucson you can take the nighttime tour of Kitt Peak.. I have done this a few times. If you do go make sure you take a warm coat. The last time I went the temp in Tucson was 105, later that night on the mountain top it was about 40 with a "light" 20 mph breeze.

j1b
Thanks for the site. Incredible. I liked this one. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap081005.html I know we've all seen it before. Personally, in this picture, the darker the better. Glad to see my home state remains relatively unpopulated. It's an amazing universe we live in. For that matter, it's an amazing earth we live on. Wish we recognized it more. J
