Frame/Slide quality issue?

I recently order a slide/frame combo from a big name company through one of there big name distributors. I order a number of standard options, bomar cut, rear serrations, flatop slide, dovetail front site cut.

Upon inspection the slide flatop cut is so crooked that it is plainly visible from front or rear. It so great that the front sight dovetail cut is 0.60 deep on one side and only 0.46 on the other edge.

Now I know this is going to bug me ever time I look arcross the top of this slide.

Am I being an A$$ asking them to do it over again?

No that is seriously off. That is over a tenth off. Standard runouts normally are in the hundredths. I would throw a fit on that one.

Not at all, but, personally, I'd return it with a polite request to the effect that this isn't up to the level of quality I'd expect from company {fill in the blank}, I'm sure they'd want to know about it, and could you please send a replacement that you've inspected to be sure it's not in the same out-of-tolerance state...

If you bought what I think you bought, you paid a premium for a premium platform. You should get what you paid for. The quality guy at this particular company (if it's what I think) is very responsive and will help you out.

Thanks for responses, I can be a picky SOB, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't falling into one of my rants.

Yep I paid premium price, and everything else I'm very happy with.

As long as you notice this sort of thing before you start working on the slide, I would be surprised if any reputable company did not make it right.
