moverfive
What will the round count be for the 10 stages? 10 stages, with enough rounds, is typically the number of stages one should expect from a Level II/State Championship.....
pierce195
If people are unhappy with 10 stages than give their money back. For the rest of us who love to shooting and will show up for 10 stages don't cancel the match. I would think that would be fair for everyone. Thomas Moore
i'm good with 10 stages as well. i'd rather shoot 10 vs none at all.
Paul Santiago
I'm good with 10 stages also.
Sparky
Ten stages is much better than a cancelled match and with the match fee at $85.00 no one should complain:). Someone mentioned round count. I believe thats as much a factor as the number of stages. Keep the match.
ampleworks
I'd much rather have 8-10 good stages than 12-15 that have 2 or 3 classifiers or just standards to get the stage/round count up.

dglock9
All RO slots are now filled. Thanks! Pierce195 - you should have an email confirming receipt of your registration and funds. Match Director Harry Sublett has promised to send an email confirming receipt of registrations this weekend. Steel1212 - I am hoping to have the match booklet online by Sept 14th. I haven't seen it yet, but I know that it's in the final stages of production. I'll do everything I can to get it online asap. And regarding squading: we have no means of providing "online" squading on a website at this time. However, you may pm me a list of names and USPSA nums and I personally make sure that the squad lists are given directly to the Match Director. AikiDale
Just received this email: Dear Staff: Due to unforeseen circumstances the KY STATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2007 for OCT 12, 13, 14 has been cancelled. All checks that have been sent in with applications will be returned to all competitors. If you have any questions, please e-mail me or Lee Leonard. I do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused especially all of those willing to devote their time, efforts, and staff that scheduled their vacations just to come work the match. .... steel1212
I don't understand that at all. They have a lot of the stages built up and supposedly the workers to work it?
dglock9
I don't understand that at all. They have a lot of the stages built up and supposedly the workers to work it? Lee Leonard's announcement: unforeseen events have made it impossible for me to put on the quality match that you shooters expect, therefore we are calling the match off,,,,,,,,sorry for any inconvenience,,,,,all checks will be returned.......Lee Leonard C, I share your frustration and disappointment. A lot of people have worked hard in preparation for this match. The committed staff was more than adequate to cover ten stages. I chose to not comment on the reasons for the cancellation. However, I will say that it has been great working with Lee Leonard and Christa Toby and the other core workers at Silver Creek and Hidden Hills and look forward to helping them organize events in the future. I'm very new to USPSA and have never participated in a level two match. My role in organizing this even has been strictly to help out with the "internet" side of it and run stats. Some of you have asked me about refunds. If anyone has questions about refunds of registration fees paid they can contact me and I will gladly do what I can to expedite your refund. However, I fully expect that you will receive your refunds quickly and that no checks received have even been cashed. Thanks, Dominic Bosco Edited September 13, 2007 by domzilla9

We can all put on our techwear and underarmour socks and hats and our fancy holsters..and award dry fire trophies on the matt burkett website.... I do understand everyone's frustrations, I was the Assistant MD for the match and looked forward to it myself. It came down to looking at the number of entries already in 30 days prior to the match going on, and I did not see how we could even break even on the match. I believe this would have been our 7th in a row KY STATE match. Also, with at least 3 other large matches going on I believe the shooters are picking matches closer to home instead of the travel time due to all expenses going up (hotel, food, gas). We had to make a decision and I do apologize for any incovenience this has caused the competitors and staff that were planning on attending the match. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Lee Leonard - Event Coordinator @ leedvc@sbcglobal.net
